I'm going to ring the insurance as dont want to take it if i'm not allowed but would it not be odd if the insurance pay me full amount and say i can keep it?
Got a call from the garage saying i need to remove the car. I thought the insurance (not mine but the person who went into me) will deal with it as they have classed it as a write off and are sending a cheque. What if the insurance say i have to deal with it? Do i just take it back for free and...
do they still need to send someone because the garage did the inspection and added it all up and said they were sending the estimate to the insurance. The garage is nationwide repairs and are something to do with AVIVA which is the womans insurance who hit me.
don't know if i'm going to buy it back. depends how much it will cost and if i would make much more after selling parts. Plus i don't have a drive and park on the street so can't really pull it apart there
Had the car written off last tuesday due to woman going into me. She admitted it and i have gone through her insurance so i dont get effected and dont pay anything. Any way friday her insurance rang me to take it to a garage to get an estimate on damages and thye got me a courtesy car. Monday...
paid for my car tax and runs out in october. So got 7 months still! But i think my car is going to be a write off. Can i claim some money back from it or not?
This is why i contaced hers after mine advised me to do it that way.
my car was hit on tuesday. I contacted her insurance wednesday, friday her insurance called me and booked my car in that afternoon to a garage where a courtesy car was ready and monday (yesterday) i got a call from the garage...
I have no idea what yet. I was planning on keeping my car for another 2 years. all depends on how much they give me. plus the odd cash i have saved up. I would love another rs but because i keep my cars for a long time i need it to be no older than 5 years and no more than 35k miles on the...
Yes ring her insurance and explain the situation. She might have already reported. I'd let your insurance know whats happening as well i did and they advised
Thats why you need to go through hers. You wont pay anything. if you go through yours you pay the excess and then you need to write a letter claiming it back.
gutted mate. Just happened to me.
Last tuesday my car was parked and when i went back to it a woman went into the back of it. Boot and bumper dented. She admited fault and i got her insurance details. Rang her insurance and they dealt with it straight away. didnt cost me a penny and i got a...
thanks vish. I'll wait till her insurance rings me and see how much they offer and go from there. Really gutted as well cause on sunday i just spent £160 on new handbrake cables and on the tuesday the woman writes my car off.
My insurance is up end of july where i get 6 years ncb. Now if i cancel and get a new insurance for a new car for say 2 months time i can only say i have 5 years ncb as thats all i can prove. even though i'd have 6 in 2 months. So i feel i've lost a whole year.
I know freezing it and then...
I guess i have to wait and see what they offer. I know i'd be lucky but i am aiming for 4k as i have looked on autotrader/pistonheads and for same miles/age a few go for 4k some lower some more! tbf only mods are bmc induction kit, 17" wheels and full powerflow system.
also what happens with my insurance? Cause i now need to cancel it as i dont have the car. I paid for the year and still have 4 months left. can i get some money back or not?
Can't believe it. All happened when i was at work.
Came to my car after work and some woman hit the accelerator instead of the brake and hit into the back of mine which jolted forward into the one infront. She admited fault and went through her insurance so it no costing me anything but the...
When i lift my clutch up i can here a kind of click or two. Kinda like creaking. It really only happens when i have put my foot right down on the clutch and lift it up. The feel of the clutch feels the same and the gear changing is the same. Wondered what it could be? Could it just need greasing...
