Yeah keep it stock and standard. And when you go to a meet, try not to fall asleep while you count all the cars that look exactly like yours. If you do satin to a good standard nobody will say a bad word about it.

If it helps, you don't really need them to be that long. Anything from 30mm will do just fine. The standard bolts with out spacers stick out the back of the hub by about 4-5mm
As above. Has anyone got a miracle method of getting rid of the sealant. You can see in the image below, some numpty has pushed the stuff into the screw threads. All other clios I've just taken it off with a blade of some sort but that's become a real pain in the arse and a complete waste of...
The way I break cars is much like running a business for a year.
Get a car for £XXX.
Factor in £150pcm for a storage locker or decent shed. (50square feet)
Add £500 for courier/pallet costs
If you're organised and savvy you can shift a lot of parts within three months.
Easily £1500 parts on a...
Personally I think there are some nice looking Angel eyes clusters out there. Phase1s suit them better but the phase 2s have a few variations(not all looking bad.
Agreed- Flaps on a rally car makes sense! I'm guessing they were some proper scene whore jap fanatics though. If it was a Subaru or Evo or something that's actually going to see a proper dirt course then yeah, but 99% of the time they're wasted on show cars that will never see a bit of grass. I...
Not really. Try jacking it and you'll see why. I think someone on here has a link to someone with a weld in replacement boot floor (or something along those lines)
Check the part numbers on your shocks and springs. If you've got a 182 you should only need to lower by 45mm (maximum) to bring the arch 5-15mm off the tyre. Assuming you've got 182 16" wheels with 205/45/16 tyres
That's where the immobiliser is usually fitted. Inside the lower dash so it's close to the original immobiliser(in front of the gear shift) and right next to the ecu wire loom. It's common for 172 immobilisers to pack up completely when left sitting. Since yours is at 51k, I'd assume this is...
No, same brakes and suspension unless you go for the phase 3 Paris initiale variant. They have rear discs, xenons, sport wheel but only 1.6 petrol and 5 door
I've never been a fan of diesels in general and I'm probably biased because I've slowly learned how to replace or renew all parts on my mk2 clios. But I have to say, they are very cheap to repair and when looked after can be flawless. They may be French, but the muppets that don't look after...
A 2.0 that's been used and abused will lead you down a steep money pit. neither 2.0 or 1.6 parts are very expensive but you're more likely to find an abused 1*2 than a terrible 1.6.
The major problem comes in when you insure and tax the 2.0. It will be considerably more than 1.6 which is only a...
A 1.6 is a good choice. you will notice the power increase but you won't be paying more for it. It's worth noting that you'd be more dissapointed in a ragged out 1*2 than a 1.6 with some rough edges.
And the cambelt was mentioned, it's not the same as the sport belts. You will need different...
