Hi all,
I've taken the calipers and carriers off my 182 for a refurb. The carrier to knuckle bolts are 2 different sizes and they are rounded or damaged in some way. So I'd like to replace them.
I've found from an online parts catalogue that they are M12(1.25) x 32mm long.
My question is...
Just as a follow up, I bought these after finding the guy on FB.
Quality is fantastic imo. Fitting to the shock was easy. Fitting to the car was just drilling 3 x 8.5mm holes each side. Car is still on axle stands at the minute but all looks great. The spherical bearing is ptfe maintenance...
Hello!
Has anyone got any experience of the solid top mounts on ebay? They're about £115 delivered, look decent and seem similar to others on the market at twice the price.
Thanks
Greg
Evening all,
Got some new disks and pads for the rear, and noticed the old ones didn't come with the spacer between the hub and bearing. I purchased new ones from Kam racing made by Grams.
Looking at the photos on other threads, mine look identical both sides? So people say they have to go a...
Just thinking if you've got a rusty complete 172/182, or its been rear ended or something along those lines. You can pick up a 1.2 etc for a couple hundred quid.
I think I saw that the non 172/182s are less prone to rust due to no side skirts?
Hi all,
Quick one. Are non 172/182 shells the same as a 172/182? Eg if I had to re-shell a 172/182, could I pick up a dirt cheap 1.2 etc and all the 172/182 bits would swap over?
Eg rear beams, front subframes, engine mounts, etc etc
Thanks
Just to confirm to anyone that has a similar problem.
Managed to get the other side shocky off today and can confirm it compresses waaaaay more than 30mm like the other side. Obviously an internal issue with the shock
Evening all,
I've bought a cheap 182 with both cup packs that is becoming a track car. Plan was coilovers but the car was cheap and is a little rotten so don't want to double the value of the car by buying coilovers!
I removed the rear disks and drivers side shock tonight to give it a once...
Any body else? Ready to pull the trigger as soon as I find the right set.
Car was only £1500 so would preferably like to spend less than the cost of the car 🤣🤣
I didn't even look at the b14s or the spax tbh, a bit more than I wanted to spend.
I'm thinking of going with the BC DS's. A little over £1000 but ocme with the adjustable solid top mounts by the looks of it.
Any one got track experience with them? What sort of spring rates should I be...
Morning all,
I've bought a 182ff with both cup packs that's needing a bit of work. Got it cheap and it's got some really nice bits in it too (pms shifter, whiteline rarb, omp wheel etc). Plan is to make it a track car with minimal road use, maybe the odd blast and possibly driving to the track...
Hello all,
Recently picked up a cheap 182 that I'm modifying in to a track car.
First job on the cards is the delete the air con as it doesn't work anyway.
Has any one used the Lambert Engineering one...
