just took it back as they couldnt say when the computer bit would be in.
The car was brand new (70 miles on the clock) just returned it with 250 in 2 days.
It was certainly an experience!!

Just had call from Renualt. The main computer in dead/dying.
Every hour its now saying that the doors are being opened!! And guess wot - Renualt UK aint got any parts in stock. so looks like Im without an alarm for a bit :@
Had the choice either have my 172 back...
went to pick up my 172 this afternoon from Renault, after the alarm was going off every 20mins. Handed back the keys to the beast of a loan car (brand new 1.2 dynamique).
The receptionist went off to check that the car was done, she came back and said that the mechanics had found a faulty...
I bought a second hand 172 (mk1) in January 03 and it was written off July 03. I had around £6k left on finance to pay. i managed to get a good payout from the insurance for £9k. So i didnt actualy need it in the end. But for piece of mind Ive got it on my new mk2 172.

Alarm sensor fault x2 (going in again Monday)
Headlamp washer balls poping off
couple of small rattles
(not a fault but make sure it comes with the boot net).
My car alarm decided last nite that all my neighbours needed waking up every 20 minutes last night!!
So by midnight I was out there disconecting the battery - looked abit dodgy all dressed in black.
Phoned renault up and they havent got a clue what the problem is.

mine was changed in october. (When they finally got the right one!!) they had the car for about 5 hrs as there had to sort a scratch and other minor warrenty work out.
is your car an import?? if so it hasnt got one as standard.

Im still waiting for 3 yrs ncb to be given back to me after a no fault claim.
