I was thinking... all this talk about the Trophy being a rare car. Well since Ive owned my 182 Cup Ive seen one and only one other 182 Cup, an inferno one, around Westbury in Wiltshire - I wonder how many 182 Cups were actually made? - probably less than 500! Anybody know if there are any...
What about renting a lock up for 60 or 70 quid a month? When I had my Mini Cooper it used to get uncalled for attention, now I have my Cup I get tw*ts in 1.4 Escorts/ 1.2 Novas trying to cut me up or race me. I Cant win.
I use the dension ice link, had it wired up to my sony cdxf7500 in my Mini - worked a treat (sound and installtion wise) in the mini as I could fix the cradle to one of the tubes that run down to centre console. Where as in in my 182 Cup its just rolling around loose in the cup holder tray in...
I was thinking about getting a spare wheel and leaving it in the boot - but the idea of just the spare tyre is a good one. Does anyone know if it would be all right using a standard steel wheel from say a 1.2 clio as a spare in case one of the sixteens on my cup go pop? I take it the wheel...
No I think I saw a post on here saying mike at liningtons - so just put two and two together. Ill have to keep an eye out for your motor next time I am down there and if youre by it Ill say hello. Mines racing blue on an 05 plate - bought it from swan though! ;)
I paid £12k for my 182 Cup last month. When the salesman first came back with his sheet of paper with what my part ex was worth and how much the Cup would cost me I almost pissed myself. He offered me £9250 for my 1yr old Mini Cooper and wanted almost 15k for the cup as he had added on the...

Mike I thought this could be the case, as I used to own a Zetec-S about 5 years ago and that performed a self check. Hopefully it is that!! Thanks for the response - you too Fred, although its nothing to do with the rear pads binding due to them getting wet, definitely to do with the transmission.
Okay Ive had my 182 Cup since May 26th and it now has 900 miles on the clock. Almost from the beginning of owning i have noticed a strange noise/clunk from the clutch which occurs when you pull away after just starting the car up. You can feel a slight vibration through the clutch too...
And how does he know that the car thieves didnt smoke cigars and eat greasy sausage rolls in the car, whilst bouncing off the rev limiter at 70mph in second gear?!?!?!
The Cup is total barebones compared to the 182. You get no engine cover, you get no sill plates, you get a 1.2 dynamique interior, no aluminium on the steering wheel, not even renaultsport written on the rev counter. You get metal pedals though and if youre lucky youll get "cup" badges for the...
Dead easy to fit, well it is with my Sony head unit and when I had it fitted in my old Mini Cooper. I Put the headunit in my new 182 Cup - man is it a tight fit or what?? Anyway the icelink plugs straight into the cd multichanger socket. I imagine they make a kit for a Renault head unit...
Yeh but if you look carefully at the Landcruisers rear window it has 40" stuck in the window. I reckon its legit, the Escalades wheels are definitely real. Used to live in Toronto and I used to see quite a few driving about with wheels like that.
Hi, Presently Im driving a Mini Cooper (182 Cup on order) I got the crappy standard cassette player removed and had a Sony CDX-F7500 installed. Anyway I am taking this out of the car and will get it put into the clio, but from what I remember the standard cd player in the cup uses the display...

Hello, just joined today. Would like to introduce myself on here as going back to a Renault after a Ford, Citroen, VW and a Mini (still own the Mini - for a few more weeks).
In fact i dunno of you actually remember, but I used to run the Cliosports website (NOT Cliosport), it was probably...
