Well, since the days of my Fiesta I've had these TSW Hockenheims lying around doing nothing other than getting covered in bird shoit. They've had a hard life bless them, curb marks all over the place, bubbling paint, scratches etc...
They've been round many people, sort of like a sl*g...
Hopefully it's just the clip that's come off, if so I'll be having a bash at sorting it tonight. Is it ok to repack it with the conventional grease that I have in my garage, or do I need to use speacialist Renault branded, extortionatly priced, all singing all dancing grease?
Finally.
It's taken nearly two years, and a lot of time, money and effort. But this evening I replaced the last part of my damaged car.
I'm over the moon!
How it stands now:
and what it came from, the crashed abused car that it was:
Yeah theres a couple of...
Been looking at various designs of splitter, and I'm loving the splitters fitted to touring cars and the like at the moment. Is there anywhere that I could find/make something along these lines for the 1*2? Could it even be a project for me, to make something similar to the splitters you see on...
While trying to investigate why my ABS light keeps coming on, I stumbled across another potential problem.
Life has always taught me that if something's loose, it's a bad thing...
I've been having a problem with my ABS and ESP lights coming on, and tonight worked out that the ABS really does cut out when the light is on. Much to the disgust of my exhaust, which started to knock again
I've had a proper check of the brake fluid tonight, and found that the level...
My Clio is long over due a problem, so tonight it decided to throw a wierd one at me.
Driving along, quite happily, feather the brakes, and the ESP light and ABS light come on, and stay on. Turned the engine off and on again and they disappeared, but alas they came back on again 5 minutes...
Any one got a link to the french forum that took all those pics of our cars and passed comment on them?
Searched for a while and couldn't find the original thread...
Could well have been Duality8 overtaking the lorry? I was a few cars back...
Spotted another Inferno down in the bottom of Matlock as well, but I don't think he's on here.

Think it's the powerflex item...
Easy to fit on your own? Guess it's a bolt on bolt off jobby, unless the engine needs supporting while it's done?
Went out last night for a sunset drive, and took some shots. Would be a very good location for a meet later on in the evening, when the tourists have left. There's 3 large car parks scattered around the resevoir, so plenty of room for a big shoot.
Latest pics of the bean:
I've been bitten by the detailing bug as well, and I'm after a decent polish, I've always used SRP but find that it's about as good as rubbing butter all over the car and doesn't really do anything.
Maybe it's just my technique, or I'm doing something...
Been out travelling today, spotted an Illiad blue Vee in Matlock Bath, with silver racing stripes :nono:
A black Vee at the top of Cromford hill
a 172 cup in Wirksworth
and Gray, twice, looks like we both had the same idea, enjoying the sun!
Well, I stopped behind after work yesterday and "borrowed" the equipment to fit my latest exhaust. Apologies Fred, it isn't a yozza!
Thanks to Schweppy for the Blueflame, Pepsi for the decat pipe, and K-tec for the supply of two new mounts.
Took me from 5 until 1 in the morning to get it all...
Easy thing to do? I'm currently part way through fitting my latest exhaust, old exhaust is off, new one about to go on, in one peice.
If some one could let me know the quickest and easiest way to drop the rear axle I'd really appreciate it.
Fitting a rear strut brace = easy
Trying to get it to stop fecking squeeking is impossible.
I'm almost certain that it's coming from the rubber mounts on top of the struts. Am I safe to bolt the brace to the strut tops without the rubber mounts? or do I need them at all?
Pics to help...
Been out tonight, fixed the rattle from my exhaust. Turns out the heatshield was sat on the back boxes, hence the rattle. Brilliant I thought, I've fixed it, and don't have to worry about anything else.
Driving along to my girlfriends, and my temperature guage starts behaving like a rev...
Driving through Matlock, minding my own business, and some yoof in a Mk1 was coming the other way with one of them silly loud exhausts and fake turbo whistle noise maker things, disturbing the peace!
Brave man for going out in it, on a night like tonight
Just spotted these lovely things that have popped up on the bay, I reckon they'd look spot on, on a 182 :D

Gray, Pepsi, Addz and myself got together for a photoshoot/conversation this afternoon.
Location was an abandoned quarry works just outside of Cromford, good find by Gray.
Adam had the decent camera, so my pictures aren't the best, but here goes.
I spent a while cleaning the car thoroughly the other day, as it's not looked this good for a while. Got another new mod on it aswell.
Couple of before Pics,
Tried taking some pictures afterwards, got a bit dark though.
