Rear Strut Brace Squeeking (Pics Included)

Fitting a rear strut brace = easy

Trying to get it to stop fecking squeeking is impossible.

I'm almost certain that it's coming from the rubber mounts on top of the struts. Am I safe to bolt the brace to the strut tops without the rubber mounts? or do I need them at all?

Just lube em up with some grease, job done.

This was on here before and IIRC it had to be a certain type of grease as it was being applied to rubber.

I think its full name is white lithium grease. They sell it in screwfix for about £5 a can.

Wilkinson muti purpose grease ftw Doesn't seem to have done mine any harm.
