Yes, its slightly rich with an open induction kit & R-Sport ECU, so with a sealed induction kit it shoiuld be spot on!
Ive got a Viper and will be getting an R-Sport, so these results have given me confidence that it will all be ok.
Go uprated then...
You dont have to wait until the standard one is bitched to get a new one!
Pain in the @rse job to do though, I swapped the clutch for an uprated jobbie in my R5 GT Turbo and its a major task!

Get it in & have Renault hook it up to the diagnostic computer to see whats wrong!
Either a fuelling or an ignition fault to cause that Id say.
Toyo Proxes are the cheapest option and theyre good tyres. I ran them on the 306 and theyre superb for the money.
Mid price we have Pirelli P-Zeros and Michelin Pilot Exaltos
Goodyear Eagle F1s are the top choice though, but cost most!
Do NOT run the car on fully synthetic from the start as it hampers the running in of the engine, so leave the standard oil in there.
Can change early if required, to clean out any cr@p from the running in, but needs a couple of thousand miles on the clock first. Mines done about this now and...
This is what Captain Slarty (car expert for those that dont know of him) recommended to use for the 172 engine, after plenty of research, so its what Ill use too if I do an intermmediate oil change...
The leather was standard on all cars from May 98 onwards (R Plate) and those with leather did not have the black plastic side protection mouldings, which is why I assumed this was a Quicksilver.
What were the seats like then?

I take it that it did have cloth seats and no rear head rests then?!
Being an import it may be different to a UK spec GTi, but my 98 S Reg was different to your sisters one...
