Yeah, K-Tec are developing a "sports cat" which is basically a free-flow low cell count item that will apparently gives gains of 65-8bhp whilst still being fully road legal, will pass an MOT & works fine on twin lambda cars.
Gonna be £250-£300 according to the website and now overdue...

My brakes seem to be doing weird things...
One minute theyre cr@p and you have to really press them hard to stop fast and youd struggle to lock them up, then the next minute theyre sharp, precise and you can lock them up if you press hard, which is what they should be like.
Anyone else had...
Chris, youll need to get a de-cat made up that allows the sensors to be screwed into it, so theyre still in the system.
Not seen anyone doing a mk2 de-cat yet though?!
Describe the problem a bit more please...
Does it like die and cut out, or just lose power but still pull???
ACTIS is a system that lists faults & recalls.
Check yellow pages and find local places for you that do car alarms. Usually places that do car stereo as well...
Then compare prices and see whats best.
Correct.
The Cat 1 alarm is retro fitted in the UK by Renault and all main dealer supplied cars "should" have it fitted.
On imports they either have no alarm, or an aftermarket system fitted, or in some cases (like my mates mk1 import) they may have the genuine Renault one fitted...
When you getting that mate?!
Would like a listen to see how loud it is...
Want a system for mine, but do not want too much noise, as Ive been there, done that and Im all grwed up now! ;)
Yeah, I "nearly" bought one last year when theyd just come out, but at the time I wasnt in a position to do so after just buying a house, so I went for that 306 Rallye.
Was also told there were gonna be 500 Cups and no discount at the time.
Aaaaah...
Yeah, the siren goes off and the inicators flash.
The immobiliser is a Cat 2 transponder type and the alarm is Cat 1 according to the stuff Im looking at in front of me!
Ive had one and tried it, so I am in a position to "dis" the Ecotek.
Most people just sl*g it from what others say, but I have one next to me now and it will not be going on my Cup!
Dont panic Pete, its just the markings on the rev counter are different between our 2 cars for some reason.
Your limiter will still be the same as mine!
The rev limiter comes in early at about 6750rpm if the car is not fully warmed up, so do NOT thrash it when cold.
Once up to temp its 7250rpm in 1st, 2nd & 3rd and 7000rpm in 4th & 5th
