Nice one, cheers for the offer...where abouts in Stroud are you? Got a little garage setup or anything? Got a few annoying little things I wouldn't mind looking at one way or another...
The first issue was that after a few minutes of driving the other day, the zigzag electrical fault light came on and the car went into limp mode. Pulled into a car park, switched the car off and on again and it was fine. It's been fine for a few days now, but earlier it came on again - switched...
After a quick play around, when the volume gets stuck I can adjust it when I go through 'Settings > Sound' and use the slider in there. Keys and the slider after you click on the speaker icon next to WiFi do nothing until re-boot. Google hasn't returned anything that's been the same, or worked...
Headphones are Beats - I've been using them a few months now without any issue...could be related to the volume control function they have? Also happens when I plug in my JBL Creatures speakers as well though.
(It's a 2009 MacBook pro running Snow Leopard still).
It seems everytime I plug headphones/speakers into the headphone socket, the MacBooks default volume level will get stuck on a medium-low setting - eg. I plugged headphones in to listen to Spotify, and I can no longer adjust the volume of...
I upgraded from my 3GS to a Lumia 710 at the weekend - liking it so far as well. App selection isn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be, it's pretty good to be honest - more free ones than I thought too. Admitedly there are one or two missing that I used on my iPhone, but it' hardly...
When I had my Corsa, the wipers did this until they eventually died halfway across the screen. Turned out to be seized linkages that then burned the motor out - a common fault with Vauxhalls it seems! Not sure if that would apply to you maybe?
They were fitted all round when I bought the Clio. I'll be honest, they were nowhere near as bad as I saw made out by some on Google - I planned to change them ASAP, but actually I ended up leaving them till they wore out. Dry grip is more than adequate for normal driving and the occasional...
Worked for me.
McGherkin: With mine when it was the wires under the seats, it would come for a minute or two, then randomly go off again. Never stayed on permanently.
As far as I know it's all completely OEM - no paperwork to show it's ever been changed in the cars history! Yeah, I heard that about Scorpions, but chances are I'd replace it with whatever new exhaust BTM come out with, or something custom from ProSpeed if that makes any difference?
Mines the cat > centre section join too thats the issue I believe...if I get a new cat back system will I need a new cat as well? (I know it's hard to tell without seeing it, but is that a usual scenario to fix any problems there?).
Which part of yours was the leak coming from? Seems I'm in a similar situation...
I had a weird whistling noise under acceleration, and the clamp from the cat to the rest of the system (roughly under where the gear stick would be) was all rusted and the system was sagging there...they renewed...
Had it a while, just made the decision to use it properly - I'm hoping it forces me to look more creatively at things I see every day/when out and about, and might in turn help my creative process when working on a brief.
Following a few of you from this thread - impressed! Nice regular...
I've got a mid-2009 13.3 MBP - 2.26 GHz Dual Core, 160 gig HDD. It works fine for the most part, although I wish I had more screen space, and it does lag from time to time so am considering a RAM upgrade (rolling with the standard 2GB still). However, I'm also considering going all out and...
The quieter day sounds good, being a track novice (bar experience days). Having said this, it'll no doubt be rammed with people expecting a quieter day this year ;)
Will see what my schedule looks like closer to the time - actually managing to graduate will obviously come first, but keen to...
Right, my Mac is a mid-2009 MacBook Pro with 2.26 GHz Core Duo processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 160 gig HDD. I use it for a lot of illustrator, indesign, photoshop and video editing work. Whilst it works OK, it does sometimes lag quite badly and isn't perfect. As I can't really afford to go out and...
(Sorry in advance for something of a thread hijack, but it's a related point with no need for a new thread of its own!)
I'm thinking of ways to boost my 2009 MacBook Pro (2.26 GHz Dual Core) and have already decided to upgrade the RAM (will I see much difference between going for 8GB over 4GB...
Good work buddy! Enjoyed reading through it all and seeing the car progress - love these kinda projects, where someone takes a tidy little car and goes on a bit of a journey with it! Congrats on the mag feature too. ;) Also, *graphicdesignerhi5*.
What you eyeing up after this then?
Tried placing it where the little square cut-out is at the bottom of the middle of the windscreen? I don't have any signal issues, but then I put mine pretty close to that spot in the screen?
Love this thread! Makes me want to get involved with the Japanese/JDM scene again with my next car. Lot of love for DC5 Integras too! They seem to command a fair old premium.
As a male, the very first thing I did upon buying the car was hold a ceremonial burning of the manual.
In seriousness, all it says is each time you get in the car, return the stalk to the off position, then back to the automatic position. That doesn't seem to make any difference, so either...
I thought this, but apparently there's no way of actually turning it off, so should be fine?
RE: the gel pack: ahh, i see. The auto lights still work fine, and as the wipers weren't going mental but actually going off at a steady interval I wondered if maybe it wasn't that...although I doubt...
Mine are weird and don't work...you flick the stalk from the 'off' position to the 'on (automatic)' position, but all they do is act like normal intermittent wipers, going off at a set interval - doesn't make any difference if it's raining or not, and the rotating dial part of the stalk does...
