Here ya go, its only black and white sorry, but it should be obvious what is what.
Unfortunately i dont have a graph comparing the 186bhp to the cammed results (gains were there but relatively minimal), this is pre and post "438 map".
My graph is a bit more consistent than Doms from what i can remember, it holds 160ft lb's+ for a good amount of time, and doesnt die off quite so harshly.
Ill nip to my car in 30 mins and scan it in at work
Haha thanks chips, sorry atouba i was trolling a bit.
My opnions on the product are pretty well known by now, i hope some day i'll have the opportunity to drive / ride in a car with an RS2 so i can actually make an informed decision instead of being an internet fan boy ;)
Seems he might have been right!
Had it all mapped in at Ktec yesterday, it provides some probably slightly dissapointing results. WHen we got there we initally ran the car to see what it did on the stock map and airbox, it produced only 174bhp / 148 ft lb's! All my power gone :(
Mapped it up...
A lot of it IMO is how the car was driven for the first few thousand miles of its life.
Some were bought by boy racers and thrashed around from day dot, some bought by a respectable middle aged business man who wanted a little sports car to commute to work.
I am very much convinced the engines...
Had that problem on my 172 absolute nightmare, replaced with a allen key head bolt (should be one there as standard imo considering the limited access to try and fit a ratcher down there!)
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
I'll had a quick word with him on facebook and he confirmed it was 11bhp!! Think i might have to see if they can sort me out something custom too, im egging to break the 200bhp barrier after seeing your results!! Can't wait until Monday :D
I think we should just accept the results, i dont think anyone can question the accuracy of their new rollers seeing as they seem spot on (very comparable to SRR who most people, inc myself take their results as about as accurate as they get).
The engine has responded very well to the induction...
Chip bare in mind, regardless of the previous air filter setup. For any induction setup to be fitted to a 172 and then produce 168ft lb's peak is quite impressive.
I have to side towards what chip is saying i think.
Althogh i certainly wouldnt complain about the figures, and would be happy as larry, but 15ft lb's from an air filter.. just plain doesnt happen unless there was something wrong with the other filter beforehand
BUT if what your saying is true...
Take it to Gaz (cliolord), he works at Longwell Green service station (behind the shell garage), top mechanic and has all the correct tools.
PM Me for his number, he is reasonably priced and is a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to clios :)
Take inlet off, take all spark plugs out (allows you to position crank easier), then stick a skewer down plug hole #1, rotate until its at its highest point (you can do this with a good level of accuracy when you do it gentlytbh).
Visually inspect the camshaft ends, try using a steel rule or...
5 Litres is fine, after about 5 months (after a bit had burned away) if i parked upwards up a hill the dash would show "OIL LOW", but check the dipstick on level ground still showed above minimum.
I've done about 5.1L this time to stop that happening.
