Nearly on 30k now all original pads, discs and fliud.. I know that my discs are still fine so am just gonna replace the pads and maybe fluid.
Does the fluid actually need to be changed?
Is it silicone based coz ive heard that you dont need to change that?
I only want to replace it all with...
I must admitt I am quit slow only because I want to be thurrow (how ever you spell it!!) I actually have access to a double garage so washing takes place inside there
Is it ok if it drys a little not completely?
Thanks for the quick replys.. So if I wash one side say then rinse that side, wash the other side(s) and rinse.. So it would be ok for the water to partly dry because I would be re-rinsing the whole car after I have finished the shampoo process anyway before I pat dry and megs last detailing touch??
After I have pre washed and rinsed with my gilmour + snow foam I then begin the hand wash with bucket and mitt using gold class shampoo.
I normally want to change the water in the grit guard bucket half way round and buy the time I have finished shampooing the car the water and shamps would...
I would get the tracking checked mate if the alloys are bigger, different size or when you have just changed tyres, suspension etc always worth having your tracking checked.....
I remember when they first advertised this on there website the advert said they was available for all the RS models 172/182/trophy...etc.
Now all it says is clio2 which to me is probably 1.2/1.6 etc... Probably best to see if they actually fit the car mate have you emailed them at all?
I imagine that alot of people who dont use this site would rather have a full renault service history, and people who look to buy these, again who dont use this site would probably prefer to have full renault service history instead of full service history..
After the 24k service I got from my...
Could you not get the service done at a renualt dealer if you really want to keep the stamps for your history and have the auxilery belt done somewhere else?
Probably is alot of extra hassle but you could have the renualt stamp then..
What I dont understand is why renualt say it doesnt need...
Thanks all im gonna do it through insurance because I dont really know any places to take also if I was to do that I would have to fork out my excess then claim it back at the end which I just cant do right now just about to start my first morgage!! They did tell me that wherever it goes they...
It happened at 11am today. Going into the gym where there is a thin bit of road which I was already into then some old man came round the corner and decided to try and squeeze through the small gap instead of reversing back into the bigger space where he just came from, which he should have done...
If you have a magnex on your 182 then you should have the new mounts even if your system is older than the redesign, did you buy the system new? If so you should have the warranty contact them and tell them, they should send you some out just make sure you get enough spacers!!
I thought there was no warning sensor for the brake pads? I also get this symbol and the stop sign flickering if I take a sharp corner.. I am just thinking that if the pads are low then the fluid will also be low correct?
Rob.
Think its a magnex thing mate got some on my car aint all that though they seem to make the car vibrate a bit more on idle plus they never supplied me with enough spacers to lower it enough away from the bumper so was also rumbling on the rear bumper, that problem has now been sorted.

I looked into extending my warranty from renault, will be 3 years old in june. They said it would cost about £800 for an extra 2 years which to me is alot!!!
When I had my old valver a got 1 years warranty with that cant remember who it was by but I did get to use it a fair bit and had no...
When I first got my 182 nearly 3 years ago I had loads of play in the steering wheel so I took it to renault they said there was nothing wrong with so I got a second opinion from a local garage who said straight away that the universal joint (uj) was knackered so took it back to renault and...
Hi Dougclio16v your probably best to try something by hand as sh33n has said, mine was in a horrible state and I paid to get it done right..
Maybe you know someone with a machine polisher or if you could find someone on here who would do it for you would work out cheaper than from someone who...
As I mentioned earlier Portal it does sound a very small difference like you say .25, but in terms of tuning or the feeling of a free flowing exhaust I didnt know if that made a noticable difference to the 2.5 which I currently own as does make a huge difference over the standard 182 system...
I always here that the 2.5 size is well suited for the clio..
Say if you measured the 182's power with the 2.5 then changed over to a 2.25 would there be any difference?
All I know is ive had 3 magnex systems in 2 years and have had to fork out all times for fitment, I waited months for the "new design" when it finally arrived they had sent me the wrong system but I only found this out after I paid someone again to fit it!! Now I am waiting for another...
I know that a 2.5 system is more free flowing than the 2.25 but is there really much difference when driving between them?
I currently have a magnex which is a 2.5 system but am thinking of changing to a janspeed which is a 2.25.
With the magnex there, to me is a nice increase in torque...
Nice vid mate I like the noise it puts out, tbh.. If only my magnex adventure was as good as your janspeed!!
Can anyone tell me if there is really much noticable difference between a 2.25 system and a 2.5?
Would going from a 2.5 down to a 2.25 feel any different in terms of free flowing...
Thats exactly the same with me mate im just assuming its the cat because its coming from the front area somewhere...
Would be good to see these pics!!
Cheers
Rob.
