Cheers for the blast today stu. This things a certainly shifts and credit to you for the graft you have put into this thing.
Definetely looking forward to some tussles on track now!
You're not a complete novice and know your way around an engine more than most. I seem to have developed a leak from my sump around the seal after putting it back together. All bolts tightened up correctly and to the correct torque with a new seal. You had any issues?
Most of my issues were...
With the setbacks you've had its not surprising you're a bit nervous. I was too and don't think for a minute I've not had setbacks as I'm sure most have with projects like this but you'll just appreciate it more when you get it running the way you want it to.
Same seat and height I've got mine. Perfect height for that race car look IMO.
If only the steering wheel would go that wee bit lower it would be even better.
Doubt it. HVLP and airless spraying are totally different so not sure how this does both.
Might be ok for interior spraying if you're not looking for anything special.
Have you got a compressor? All you would need is a second hand devilbiss HVLP gun with gravity cup.
To get the pulleys off you are best to lock them using the locking tools and then use a buzz gun. I was going to say I could send them down but you but sounds like scoff is sorting you out so you are in safe hands. No worries about the head too, its there if you need it for some reason later...
Exactly! I just want to surprise the evoprezas and hopefully show what a fwd turbo car can do at a far lower budget. I think I'll be in class c and against some well specced cars I know but for the money I think it could be a blast.
Sorry for the hijack Dan!
The P1 is a keeper unfortunately but letting my mrs drive mine would have my ass making buttons every time she went out in it! Lol
With the 4 classes there should be a class for everyone. I will really need a diff to make it competitive and will need to get a new in date seat.
Hope you make it mate. It would be good to have a few clios in the ranks.
Sorry to hear about this mate. The spare cup engine is an option that hopefully wouldn't cost too much.
Turboing an already tired 12 year old engine might have been too much for it. Rollers aren't the kindest place to ageing engines.
