Its will be cheaper with the diy option too :D
Choose a good 5w40 for your budget, a decent filter (OE or Bosch etc) + sump washer and away you go.
Have a look on euro car parts , free delivery too
The usual can of worms !
In my limited experience of 182 ownership so far - had 2 tanks of 95, then a tank of 99. No difference in mpg , idle or performance , more testing needed maybe but I wont be worrying my head about having to put 98+ Ron in , if I had a turbo it would be a different story !
I would say get all the experience and exposure you can whilst getting the qualifications , your reputation will be just as valuable as formal qualifications
That's brilliant, I didn't expect any of these to be alive nowadays . I had a 1.0 as my first car back in 2000 and have fond memories of the little UNO :)
You may be able to get away without providing you use the high temp silicone if you must, is it just the normal type gasket? , motor factors will stock them if so
Not too much of an issue to fit yourself, just be prepared to cut the bolts off and you will be fine. I would recommend some high temp silicone to seal rather than the crappy exhaust paste
If you can, I would be tempted to invest in a trolley jack and axle stands & socket set....those jobs are all within the reach of the home mechanic (use CS resources and guides) and best of all free, just a couple of hours of your time. :)
Noticed this morning that the drivers door wasnt locking, all the others are when pressing the lock button on the key fob.
Last week my problem was intermittently the drivers door wouldnt unlock. So clearly the problem is with the door locking mechanism , I will get the drivers side door card...
Glad it wasnt only me who thought this, it was a horrible sound when fitted to my old cup - wouldnt be as bad if it was a nice sound but it was just NOISE.
Everyone raved about them too, waste of money IMHO.
its up to you, whatever you are happy with i guess, it think 5w40 is the preferred (fully synth) BUT its a can of worms and everyone has their own preferences.
If you have an abundance of it sitting there doing nothing and wanted to try it without shelling out £££ then if your happy - try it...
Or if you want to get the chav horn noise at all engine rpms (on and off boost) then fit a HKS SSQV :)
As said above, they are fine when fitted for a short while but IMHO soon become tiresome.. If you have an OE recirc one too you can swap to suit your taste :)
