Wrong light ; do'nt know if the "sealed" right side is visible in the shadow. Anyway all the bit to the right in the shade is closed off , and the shield has a 90degree angle that is pushed under the former battery tray so also bottom of "airbox-space" is partly sealed from heat from gearbox...
Looking through the grill with a light.. :) that's good !
Anyway, i will get a pic up tommorow as this one you're looking at now is the unfinished one. Noticed how i had trouble cutting the Alu with my kitchen scissors !? All edgy ..
Here's a pic anyway ; since this was made i have attached a piece (the bend i was talking about) . Also this shield you're looking at now is'nt mounted yet, and i have filled out/closed up all open spaces to the right so it seals up evrything nicely .
Will post another pic come daylight;)
yep, warm is more the word though. I'm not too worried about that as it does effectively stop the warm air passing to the area where my caf picks up air. (pointed down/at headlight ) When standing still in traffic it might pass on some heat though to this space behind the shield, that's...
^^ Nick that heatshield is a PRO job, loving that really :approve:
I have made a similar setup, heatshield , but out of aluminium and well now i think mine looks like s**t when seeing yours :o
Áh well , mine does the job nicely too. Do'nt care to much about under bonnet cosmetics ...
even more stress on the hubs/bearings. The 172 originally was made with the wheels having offset 43 (give or take) , then the 172Cup became a wider track by the ET38 of the Turinis. On the same hubs.
With ET30 you will be out another 1,5cm each side!
I think the 182 design , bigger...
^^ the people doing work on your car were expecting you back (more $$)
not tightening the bolts up clearly shows a %(*^ job . if you have this breather , this is where all the excess oil will havecome from as it has been overfilled..
i hope you will go to another place for...
^^ when you noticed you were'nt getting resistance when tightening the bolt, why did'nt you notice/mention this !?
you should have straight away noticed this was causing a problem . ANyway , glad it's sorted
wish it was all this simple.. the 197 makes pretty big power with these small outlet ports/exhaust.
when going for a change like this i would expect a heap of problems. They have researched (probably through lots of $$$$$) a way of pushing 200 hp through very small exhaust ports .
I...
I was watching that R5 Turbo go round, drifting every single corner and I was thinking it could only be Ragnotti!! LEGEND!!
Think I saw him do a 720deg spin down one of the straights?
Yep ! straight after i met him in the parking and we talked for a while. He was nice enough to come over...
Mine have been changed twice in 70K (OEM ones) , believe me, it transforms the drive in a very good way. When regularly hitting it hard, not talking boy-like stoplight racing but good old sporty driving, i think they will last around 25/ 30k . They may seem fine to some untill they had a taste...
248+ hp , 200+ footpounds Torque i believe. This is the "safe" setup, Rotrex charger running along mildly ;) Can go a lot further though with changed internals of engine
that's lush ! Nice mileage ! Although it almost made me think of something from "Final Destination " Evil 666...
Pulls like a train eh !? Very nice dude
I'm surprised your girl is so relaxed ! Mine would have been screaming long time before that and beating on me
