sounds like its the idle valve needs to be refitted to your new pipe or could fit a small breather filter to it. have a search on here for k4m engine as its the same engine can see how its done on them.

thought the 1.2,1.4 and 1.6 clios all use the same suspension,brakes,subframe,driveshafts,gearbox and exhaust where as the 2.0l uses different so fitting a 1.6 would be easier and cheaper than fitting a 2.0l.

like beasley said holding the spring when spinning the wheels to feel the ruffness works very well if you cant hear it whilst driving it. did suddgest it in one of my replys 175nm for the rear hub nut. 100nm for carrier to hub 40nm for caliper to carrier 105nm for the road wheels.

if you pushed the pistons back you can turn the seals in the master cylinder quite a common problem resulting it a crap pedal.
