As above is the easiest way. However not all of them have the nut there. Some have both, others just have the adjuster on the cable which is above the cat heat shield.
It doesnt bleep. The only time it bleeps is if you unlock it and its been set off while you were away, it will bleep so many times to tell you what happened. E.g. 1 bleep door or boot, 2 bleeps ultrasonic, 3 bleeps bonnet etc
The rear pads are about £12-£13 for say some Mintex ones. You can get the renault ones from GSF which is the whole set with bearings and abs rings for a lot cheap than direct from Renault..
It was the very first silver ones made that had the aluminium bonnet from the cup race cars. Mostly the W and some X reg cars, same goes for the shift light. Rev upto 7200rpm and you should see the green light on the dash about 300rpm before the limit.
^ I can remember when the first pics of the 182 were posted on here and everyone hated the wheels and exhaust. Later on the majority of them soon traded their 172s in for one.
It says in the manual that the air con wont come on if the external temp is low (or the car thinks its low). Not sure if it uses the info from the external sensor on the mirror??
Was in the Milestone having a crap steak and spotted a blue lowered mk2 clio with sticker pull into carpark. May have been Matt Trev???
Also saw an identical car to mine Red 172mk1 go round the roundabout. I was concerned as never seen another before and thought mine had been nicked!!
Im trying to think what I did to fix mine. Bear in mind the air con wont come until 5 secs after starting the car, the fan has to be on at least 1 speed and the compressor wont engage if there is no pressure in the system. From memory there is a connector to a pressure sensor near the fan...
The pipe is just part of the loom. The 2 70mm pipes go straight to the standard box. I had a ITG at the time but went back to the renault filter as it was less restrictive.
The only beniefit with the itg was that it was cleanable. DIY route is much more fun and cheaper.
You can either take out a foglight and run a big one from there to whatever you decide to have or re-route behind the underlight bumper grille near where the standard ones go(see my guide in the guides section).
