Yeah they will fit by the looks of it, Ive heard bad things about PI springs, you get what you pay for. It doesnt specify if they are for a 1.2 or not as the 1.2 is a little lighter at the front so may not lower the front as much as the back.
From Renault? A lot of places can fit a pattern part for a 1.2 16v, its probably the most common exhaust. No idea on prices though, id say around £100-£120.
I wouldnt worry at all if its from Northern Ireland, have a look near the hazard light button is there a red led alarm light that looks out of place? Also does the front side windows have "this vehicle is fitted with thatcham cat 1 alarm system" (although these are usually removed). All the...
It can be a pain to set up, i could only get it to work on my old laptop which is windows ME. Do a search there is a guide that edde made on how to set it up, it needs a certain version of jave, adobe and quicktime.
It could be a hundred things, first of all check its not the seatbelts, check something is not rolling around in the boot, check under the rear seats and also something in the spare wheel well, pop the hatch cover off and check the rear wiper mechanism. Next check the suspension mounts, check...
Car looks very smart, Renault Clio II are still made all over the world (some in south america) with dfferent specs to ours. Theres a factory in Mexico which makes the Nissan Platina which is just a mk2ph2 clio with a different front and rear. Ive seen mk2ph2 clios in Bulgaria (where they are...
Spark plugs are very important, the correct ones have the gaps preset for the 172/182. They should be as below but dont bother getting them from renault, you can buy the 4 set cheaper elsewhere on the internet.
Id check those spark plugs, they should be NGK Platinum PFR6E-10 and nothing else, as Fred says they are £12-13 each. It could have had the incorrect plugs to start off with and this could be whats causing the issue?
As for the mechanic/engine, the big giveaway is RenaultSport lettering...
It needs to be high temperature stuff, you can get sprays and paints for engines that will do. Halfords do a aluminium heat spray paint thats corrosion proof, might be worth a try.
Ring your insurance company and they will put you trhough to someone like rac windscreens, they will fix it for free as long as your fully comp, however iirc if its bigger than a 5p they will replace the whole windscreen. Depening on your insurance its normally around £70-100 excess.
Copied from a post I made earlier..
Its the belt which takes drive from the engine and turns the alternator, power steering pump, air con compressor and water pump. Imagine how many times this piece of rubber spins round and round, stopped and started, cooled down and heated up. The rubber...
Renault are correct to point out the aux belt needs doing, normally they forget that! Forget the cambelt for another 2 years. That price seems about right for Renault.
Someone should make one, after all its one of the best Clios :quiet: . Also theres not enough 1/18th hot hatches on the market. Clio Williams, 172, 205gti, VTS etc..
