Yeah it should be the same, especially as yours is a 2001. The exhaust from a 1.2 8v from the same year wont be the same, the 1.2 8v is the only Clio to have 1 silencer. Most clios have the same mounting points.
Ive got mine in the vent, see my guide in the guides section. Ive tried lots of different ways and found this to be the best. Its works well whether you have the standard renault filter or an ITG.
Theres a seller on ebay that sells the janspeed one (same as k-tec) for a bit cheaper. As said you will need a new gasket and fitting kit (not expensive from renault. The emissions light wont come on if its a 172mk1 as it only has 1 downstream sensor.
I take its the D7F (1.2 8V) engine?? Renault dont specify the correct readings, however if the readings go up after adding oil there is a problem somewhere? Piston rings or head gasket?
The tyres and brakes will wear out more quickly. You just need to remember to fill up with petrol and thats it. The engine is nothing to worry about as long as you let it warm up before the blast.
