The 172mk1s made in 2000 are £180, 172mk2 and 172mk1 made after march01 are £190 and 182 is £205. These are the current prices.
If a car is made after 23mar 2006 that is a band G then youll be paying £300.
Non sport Clios with steel wheels have et36, the clios with the alloys have et37.
Havnt got any side on pics im afraid as its my old car and havnt got many pics left.
I had them on mine, the non sport Clios have an offset of 36 so the 38.5s from the cup are fine, mine was lowered 40mm and had no rubbing at all even on full lock.
You dont have to drill holes with the Renault rack. They come with a key the goes in the side that you turn to lock them onto the roof sills, the more you turn the key, the tighter inwards they go. Its a very good fit imo.
For £160 you can buy 2 brand new disks that include new bearings in from Renault and fit yourself, its not hard as they are only held on with 1 big bolt. There is a guide on fubars website. www.fubarnet.com
Yeah that sounds right although I dont think the wires are the same colour on both sides, the sidelight wire should have the same connector on as the old type so thats ok.
Ive got the wiring diagram somewhere (yes its lost!). Split the earth at both sides, then wire the high beam wire to the h7 bulb and the low beam wire to the hb3 bulb and earth them both with the split earth wire. The connections for servos, indicators and sidelights are same. Next you just need...
I'd go with the roof, and in my experience the only roof bars that fit properly is the Renault ones as the Clios have wierd shape roofs. I used one on my old clio (crap pic):
Cars made before Mar 2001 go on engine size (over 1549cc) not emissions, the 172mk1 is a different cost to a 182 and even a 172mk2. I had a 51reg 1.2 8v that was cheaper than my old x 00 reg 1.2 8v by about £5-10 just because they were made in a different year but have the same engine.
Im sure...
You can do it yourself with drums if your feeling brave, you need a bearing kit (about £20-£25) which includes a new circlip, cap and nut. take the wheel off, take the cap off the centre of the drum and undo the large 30mm nut, put the wheel back on with 2 bolts and pull the wheel so it comes...
It depends I think, there are 2 types of the cabasse cd player.. Some 182s have update list hu's as apposed to the tuner list hu. These are wired up different and its not a straight forward swap. The old type is tuner list what most older/other clios have.
2X 10mm bolts iirc, its normally removed to gain access to the oil filter when changing the oil. It can be a pain to get off if you dont have the right sized socket extension bar.
Aparantly its illegal to de-gas it yourself. If anyone has a air con rad/compressor in really good condition let me know as mine is bent like a banana after a stone hit it.
I had a powerflow custom exhaust fitted on my old clio, they are ok and will gladly adjust it if you have problems but even the quietest one they do is just too loud/boooomy.
