Yeah thats right, hmmm the back rubber mount, in the pic it looks like only half of it is there. Is the rubber solid between the engine and the black mount? (see the pic)
Fubar by the look of that they could move forward a little, loosen the bolts with the yellow marks and get someone to pull the engine with black part of the mount forward while you tighten them.
Have a look on ebay and the for sale section, so many people with 1.2 16v's take theres off and replace. Also for that engine Renault probably sell about 3 different ones.
Ive been quite suprised by my 172. My 1.2 had cup wheels/tyres and no abs and that was a nightmare!! The 172 seems well planted and braking is brilliant with abs.
Have you got the receipt for the work, could you ring the garage and ask if only recent. Unfortunatly you can buy both the timing belt and the aux belt seperatly without the tensioners.
The belt kit with 3 rollers/tensioners is about £120
The aux belt is about £17 and the tensioner for that...
Its normal, after driving my girlfriends Suzuki which has a hydraulic clutch and electronic steering and then driving my 172 it feels well and truly broken.
Which clio is it, you cant miss it really its on the front of the gearbox. There is a black arm and a cable attached but dont go spraying wd40 in the clutch. Get someone to sit in the car and press the clutch and watch it move.
Check the air filter and take the pipes out and make sure they are not clogged up with anything especially if the car has been in a crash and been on its side or upside down. Could also be a ignition system fault which will be a pain to find.
