I brought some renault ones from ebay for £40. They come with a allen type key which you turn and they shorten across gripping the inside of the roof between the door. However mine is 5 door, not sure how the rears would hold onto the 3 door car it maybe by the window like the Thule ones.
Yeah you may have a bearing out is it coming from the front or rear? You can look at the thickness of the pads by taking the wheel off and looking into the gap, if its squeeling it doesnt mean they are worn, if they are grinding thats worn! Your car proably has lucas brakes which are the same...
Hard to say tbh, it could get very hot and solder itself into your drum. When mine was rumbling I was always worried my wheel would eventually fall off, i did a couple of trips to work and back before I got round to changing it.
If its gone it will be whirring/rumbling. I managed to change mine myself, I got a bearing kit for £20 which includes the bearing, a new 30mm locknut and a circlip to hold it in. To change it you need to remove the drum by undoing the 30mm locknut (it can be a b**ch to get off). Then take the...
Joshy it may be the handle thats creaking take the sunroof apart then rebuild it making sure everything is done up tightly, then wrap some electrical tape around the metal bars that slot into the roof at the front of the glass, then wrap a little tape where the bar on the handle slots back onto...
Ive fitted fog lights to mine, its a little tricky you need a new stalk on the steering wheel with the switch and then the wiring harness. The easy way is just to wire a relay from the low beam feed with a hella remote control switch.
The manual sunroofs on mk2ph1s should be tilt/remove sunroofs. You remove the sunroof by just pushing the red tab in and slotting the handle out so you can then lift the roof out from the outside of the car, I think it may even tell you in the manual. I sometimes take mine out when its really...
I once asked a bloke from renault, he didnt really seem to know and just said 'they are sealed'. You can get the Renault roof bars from Renault or ebay which fit a treat, I have a set to carry my bike.
The gap should be 0.9mm iirc. They should be replaced with NGK BKR5EK which will have the gap preset. I replaced mine at 72k and it made the world of difference, the engine runs much smoother.
When I went Longleat last year somehow one of the monkeys pulled my door mirror glass out! I cant help with the scratches although I would like to know the answer aswel for my 'fine' scratch on my door.
It could be a tensioner on the belt that could seize and cause the belt to slip so get it checked, it could also be the thrust bearing on the clutch as they squeak if there worn.
Ive found it the cheapest by far, Im 21 with 1ncb on a 1.2 paying £479 mods declared. Try the quote again but adding an experienced female driver on as a 2nd driver it may bump it down a little if your lucky.
