    Headlight adjusters - testing

Thanks for the reply! I meant how do I check the motors are working before I reassemble? They are already out of the headlights so I wanted to connect them up to 12v to see if they are working before reinstalling. The headlight levelling doesn't work for some reason, nothing is broken in the...

Gearbox oil- Redline MTL or Elf NFJ?

How much more expensive is the Redline stuff? If I'd just paid for a 'box refurb, a few extra dollars for good oil has gotta be worthwhile?

Gearbox oil- Redline MTL or Elf NFJ?

He repairs gearboxes (not just Clio ones), and considers the Redline stuff the best - through personal experience I believe. I like to browse these forums out of interest 🙈, so I only know this from general reading, I'm not affiliated with him in any way, and am not on any kind of...

Gearbox oil- Redline MTL or Elf NFJ?

From reading his posts on here, @NorthloopCup recommends MTL, and also from what I've read on these forums, he's the man!:grinning:

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

I've just looked at your thread again @Tomotek, and you did a trial fit without the bar and the bush was still too tight - I get it now :grinning:.

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

Thanks for replying . From your pic in your build thread it looked a bit like the inner diameter of the bush was too big and wouldn't compress enough round the bar......that was my thinking, in ignorance of course ! So when fitting, have both front wheels off the ground, so bearing...

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

Thanks . Powerflex list two diameters on their webpage (23mm & 25mm), perhaps one is for Ph1?

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

That's interesting - I'm wonder though what size powerflex bushes @Tomotek used, 23 or 25mm, and if he used 25mm maybe 23mm would have been better? However I feel uneasy questioning what bushes he has fitted having seen the 'skillz' displayed in his build 🙈......

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

Maybe not, it could be either, I need to measure......

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

Yeah, it's 23mm, mk3 Clios are 25mm Thanks all, I'll give it a bash and report back when I can't do it 😅.

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

    23mm sound right too?

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

Are the replacement bushes split to so as to go around the bar, or are they one piece an need sliding on from the end (I wonder if that makes any sense ?)

Great, there's no ramp going on 🙈. Will it be a self explanatory-type job?

    Inner Anti Roll Bushes

The outer anti roll bar bushes have been replaced with polys at some stage, but the inners look worn and perished, so I'm gonna have a go at them at some stage soon. Are they a potential MOT fail? My searches have revealed they are a b1tch to do, but I've not managed to find a guide or fitting...

    Strut top bearing

I got ECP bearings as spares as they only cost a few quid. I used them when I had a problem with my solid top mounts - they fitted fine and have performed well so far, however, I've only used them for one track day.

    Warped discs?

TBH you had me worried that my problem was going to be something more troublesome to sort 😅, glad it all worked out though . Were your ST discs as much of a bargain as the Clio ones?

    Warped discs?

@JB21 linked to one on eBay for £20, and I very nearly bought it, but at £45 for new discs I thought at the very worst I'd end up with a spare set, so wigged out on the gauge 😅. It would be nice to have one though .

    Warped discs?

So just to tidy up this thread...... Because the DS2500s were fubar'd I swapped them for some cheapo pads to see if that made a difference and the rumbling/vibration was much improved, but still there a bit. So I fitted new Brembo HC discs & Mintex M1155 pads and everything was perfect. So I...

Alignment / tracking / toe clio 182 Hunter system

Only toe is adjustable, is that right? Would need camber bolts to adjust camber I presume? And castor, no adjustment possible there? Need to get my facts right before I get my alignment checked......thanks!
