Stuck on what to do

I have a mk3 clio, i've modded it quite a bit with things like a cat-back exhaust, SX kit, calibre alloys, K&N induction kit, HiD kit etc, but i realllllly want to slam it.
I was going to get coilovers until i looked at my arches, and as they are plastic, i cant roll them, and the problem is, there is like an inch lip that would be able to get over the alloys.... Is it best that I sand them down? i've recently been looking at getting an Astra VXR anyway, so not sure what to do. Any opinions/suggestions?

if theyre plastic, couldnt you just cut them out with a saw??
just cut the inner lip that you cant see back as far so you deem fit with a small saw, and let the tyres scrub the rest away!
