only prob is that as soon as the foam is it the tyre is dead as the sealing chemicals also eat away at the tyre lining (effectively the tube)
i would rather inflate it a little over what it should be and drive to the nearest tyre place to get it repaired
the black bit does come off but it is clipped and glued under the 1.2/1.4 bit
other than that i pushed the indicator out from the inside as the arch liner was already out

you have one behind each wheel under the arch liner
on the rear theres 4 iirc from under it then it should slide out
the front theres one behind the numberplate and mine had 2 from under it
on mine they were all 10mm nuts appart from the one behind the no plate that was a 13mm

i have had the wire of the starter motor come off(spade connector) in the past on my 92 1.4, i just re crimped it and its been fine since although due to other reasons its running like shite
turn the radio on and press any number and 0000 will appear press the 1 as many times as needed till the right number is there and move on
once the right code is in press the 5 it will beep and job done
my 1.4rt kicks out a mushroom cloud of thick black smoke on start up and when changing gear
its only done 54k on a k reg i think its burnt/dropped a valve or 3

you could take it to your local kwik-fit for a exhaust check as its a free check then when they price it up say you dont want it done/ want to shop arround
