For everyone who's changed dash leds

I've got this idea..

I want blue dials and red needles. Am I right in thinking I can do this by changing the leds for white ones and then using red and blue filter paper/foil to get the change that I want?

I haven't seen the inside so I don't know if this is a possibility or impossible to do.

Something similar using coloured acetate reb/blue but you would need to tint the needles.

I think it's clear how it's done btw.. Are there pics of the inside of the cluster? Like to see how the acetate is put in etc.

I used an adhesive spray for the acetate things got a little complex cutting small shapes for the speedo. Once you open the cluster all will become relative
