having just read another post it might be worth finding out if you have an EBD, i didnt think you got these but someone said all clio 2 ph2 have them, is yours a clio 3?
ah you were the one that posted about that a while ago!
i cannot think why it is doing this, if you are mechanically minded you could try what i suggested in the other post and look inside your drums (you will need a new hub nut for each drum you take off, and a whole lot of torque to...
shows my blinkered experience, have never seen an engine before thats not crossflow (is that the name for inlet one side, exhaust other going across head?). both manifolds on same side here? whats that design like from a tuning aspect? also noticed that the CCs arent perfect domes, sort of semi...
i would be put off by anyone that claims that much, theyll be the customers getting business off people who know no better - get one with realistic claims, i see that as a good sign of their worthiness.
fitting larger wheels wears bearings much faster.
to test, jack the car up and grab the wheel at top and bottom. try to move it - if you get much play then most likely its down to bearings, but you can eliminate it by getting someone to hold the brake pedal down. Also hold wheel at 3 and 9...
just thinking about it, i suppose when you start insternal work on any car you should set yourself a limit to what you are going to do, and as long as the person with cthe cash is realistic about it and knows what he/she is likely to be able to compete with (if thats their aim) then you cant...
no but in general because of the lower capacity of a 1.2 you have to get the engine to do approx 50% more revolutions to combust the same amount of mixture that a 1.8 can do (as std).
interesting point about saving the valver money then getting an evo, i suppose you could then say i wont mod...
ok just done some reading up on it (sh*t im bored) and it seems the box oil used can be a very slight factor. too frictionless an oil and the time taken for the gears to spin up to the right speed to allow change is increased. also something about "shear rates"? however, it is also meantioned...
yeah but what return would you get on that? sure youve learnt a lot if you have done all the mods yourself but if you are just gonna throw mony at a garage then whats the point? it wont be as quick as a valver, you will have to rev the sh*t out of it to get decent power which is both dangerous...
yes only have brake bias valve on rear disc cars.
as your handbrake has to move up further this can only mean that either your shoes have moved further away from the shoe( the auto-adjuster should stop this) or your handbrake cable has stretched (unlikely) or your shoes have suddenly worn...
I am getting to grips with all things car at the moment before i start to experiment with engines etc.
I am looking at the ECU at the moment, and just need to make sure i understand everything it does:
Has an ignition map stored (2D on std, 3d usually if aftermarket)
Takes readings from...
