the cam is the thing that pushes your valves up and down (well, not directly but same principle...). cambelt = the the thing that times your cam with the bottom end (pistons), so that the valves open n close at the right time in relation to the pistons.
hes talking about a diff profile of...
depends which one - the dog-bone mount (lower engine, stops rocking back to forth) is the cheapest of the 3 i think, look at http://www.eurocarparts.comhttp://www.eurocarparts.com
just reading the post about a RRd cup where he chaged the panel filter for an inc of ~4bhp and 4lbft. apart from it being cleaner than the old one, what benefit is there in putting an aftermarket element in there? what is the reasoning behind it?
always wondered ysee.
i take it the 19 girlings are the same size as bendix i have tho? usually im not bothered about looks, i.e bodykit etc. but here i reckon that a little sh*tty solid disc looks a bit bad behind nice alloys, hence why i bought the ktec discs. but i suppose i could put the valver stuff on for...
just had a look at the torsion bar i have, was gonna have a crack at it on sat - however, it seems i have an enclosed-type rather than the open that is on the valver (and weights guide!).
anyone that has adjusted the torsion bar on this setup, how do you get the spline rotation to work if...
carbs are better than SPI power-wise i believe, you would have to get multi-pt for it to be beneficial. why are you after doing it? ive no experience of it but can imiagine its a fair bit of work, having to put a whole ECU sys in compltete with sensors etc.
done about 10k miles in them, tho when i fitted them i didnt make sure that the hub flange was flush, may be the reason for it, also the blue streaks (correct me if im wrong) are down to overheating of the disc, which could either be it sticking to the pad (i.e. becuase its warped, constantly...
...for the ol RT, my Ktec pads/discs havent worked that well, got "blueies" on the discs and they have warped, with the alloys dont really wanna get standard discs again - any other manufacturers apart from ktec that make straight swaps? also want a different pad,EBC doesnt seem to have the...
my mate has just had one installed on a polo, sigma M20 i think. he has the keypad thingie on his windscreen, but the money-grabbers wont tell him any codes so he can put the auto-arm on, windows up, etc.

factors = your local motor spares place.
im guessing your oil is SAE 80? dunno for the valver but checked in a factors in their reccomended guidelines and my RT box needs a different oil, something like 75W......cant rememebr the other number. but check before you fill it up.
RE gaiter...
does the gaiter come with a seal attached. have the same prob at the mo, and havent take nthe shaft off yet to look at it but talking to some people there may be a seal attached to the gaiter. on instection, my gaiter isnt damaged atall, so would that point to the drvieshaft seal?
