I read your thread bhm and all I could think was eek. Mine vibrates like a bastad and I'm currently replacing the gearbox as it has a 2 cracks and a hole on it and I think thats thanks to the OEM dogbone bushes. Just have to get the car back on the road and test it.
My car rattled like something not right when I pushed the fun pedal. I thought it was the exhaust but that appears to be secure. Then I found this http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1485 and I thought maybe this will solve the issue.

So far I've removed the driveshafts, airbox, battery and ecu. I'm assuming the subframe has to be dropped too. Is this the case? If anyone has a guide on either removing the gearbox or dropping the subframe it would be greatly appreciated.
Isn't it dead easy to swap the decat on a 182 anyway. I can swap the 172 cat/decat in under an hour but that's only becuase I've had it off so many times.

What is the difference between inline lower engine mount and twisted lower engine mount Am I right in thinking the inline one was for the 172 ph1 and some early models of the 172 ph2 and the twisted one is a revised part for the later 172's and the 182's?
I've put my decat back on and I'm not too sure I've put it on properly. I've put 1 into 2(the cup) in the hole on the manifold. On the other side where the decat is I've put 3 onto 1 then 4(the spring), then 5, 6 and 7.
