Brian, mine disappeared after the chip installed, runs fine until I get the car serviced at Renault, afterwards the cold start problem comes up again.
Just wondering if the dealer has re flash the ecu without telling me.
Either with superchip or unichip or R-Sport ECU.
Do you still get cold start problems in the morning? eg. have to start twice, car running rough for a few sec...
Martin,
Would be good to know it this "noticable performance" lasts, everytime I get the car back from service it feels faster but after a few days it returns to normal.
One other thing maybe due to the new clutch kit you had fitted? my friend has his clutch kit done, and his car feels loads...
I asked the Renault dealer to put in for me.
But I had a look myself, theres a drain plug underneath the gearbox.
its adjacent to the engine oil drain plug, they are the same 8mm square ones.
To put the oil in, theres a rubber plug on the side of the gearbox, directly under the airfilter...
Had my gearbox oil changed on my 172 at 30k service.
It feels alright when I drove it home, but now after 3 days, the gear change feels notchy and harder to change gear, not as smooth as before.
I think they just put in 3 litres... I thought the gearbox needs 4 litres?
anyone can help...

heres what the tech guy told me
"the problem is that a whole chunk of the ecus memory is read during the sps process. This chunk is...
You know how every morning when you crank up the car, it started very rough and sometimes have to start twice and after a mile of driving everything seems fine again. I think its all to do with emission control.
Well, I started the car this morning, the car feels smooth, smooth to drive in the...
I just finished installation again.
This time I took the air valve off, but leave the wire bit inplace. I took one of the driving light off, and route the pipe to there.
Went for a quick drive, even better than yesterday, rev climb up so quickly that I need to change gears very soon.
Just...
Installed CDA last nite.
Did I installed it correctly?
Wheres the best place to pick up cold air?
Went for a quick drive, well...the car feels fast because its bloody loud! so Im not sure how much faster. Theres no induction roar on part throttle, but above 4krpm, it really rumbles! sounds a...
SOLUTION:
What you do is before you step out of the car, put your hand on the car body(eg. door sill) make sure its metal part, not plastic part.
Then with your hand on the sill, step out of the car.
NO SHOCK!!
