Think I have fixed the water leak ony 172, Just wondering if I am o.k filling it back up with just water for a quick blast to check its all o.k then draining and putting the coolant in. Got visions of my new coolant just running down road :o

:eek: :eek: As said socket trick usually works or you can buy locking wheel nut removing kit from loads of car shops lol

Cant help on the fault but dont think reverse lights are tested on MOT?

Yeh motorworld had a draper one so managed to drop oil and change filter just need to remember to put drain plug in before I put oil in tomorrow :D

The new rad I have for my 172 has a threaded hole in one side which my origional does not. Sure I saw a post on here about it does anyone know the part number? Do Renault stock stuff like this ? Cheers

Good point well made did not know it was supposed to be first time I have been anywhere near the pipe only removed the rad maybe previous owner :o Car is down at my mums as I dont have a drive better have a look when I get chance to see if bolt is missing or sheared Cheers

Removed most of the front end ready for the new Rad also cleaned all the green moss off the rubbers oh and flatted and polished the headlights.

Just on with changing my rad and noticed the power steering pipe? looks badly corroded in one place, I have not tried to clean it up to see if it is a build up on top or knackered what do you think? Im hoping it will hold out a while as I can barely afford the rad this month and don't want to...
