See funny thing is he told me to go into 4th there just as I passed the pit lane.

you could prob make it fit if you cut out the front subframe mounts from a mk2 and made them fit the mk1 but what would be the point? Other than clearance for a supercharger or AC Pump

Found the reason the exhaust was blowing - the flange on te manifold had a big low spot so using a belt sander took the whole flange down to the smar level put it all back together no more blowing woohoo!
re-bled the brakes and chopped out the tabs in the arches as they were catching the...

Problem with the 197 head Dan is that the plenum sits higher so wont go under a mk1 bonnet, the 172 plenum only just fits.

So today after having my ass handed to me by an audi s5 I came to the conclusion more power is needed!!!!
