What sort of grit grades would you recommend?

Cool, I will give it a go. I was hoping to get away with some clever polish, but it does look in pretty bad shape. The last Ph1 I had, the knob had been polished to an (almost) mirror finish, I miss that!

I am surprised at the response - I have advertised a few cars on eBay and being offered less than I wanted for it has never offended me. I considered the car worth about £1500, tried my luck at £1250. I Guess I misjudged it.
