I finally got my Megane back from Renault on Friday afternoon, following a failed starter motor. The final bill was £1300, but Renault UK paid the majority, so I was left with a bill of £250.
On Saturday, I took my car to get its tyres checked, and it turned out that my front pair had...
It's P1 that's got my attention mate. These old school polishes' days are numbered if it's as good as they say. The splatter looks nasty, but being water based, it wipes off easily with a mist of water.
C2 looks sweet too.
It's not new though.
Autosmart Fallout Remover does exactly the same thing and is £15 for 5L. It doesn't do the cool purple trick, but is just as effective.
5L of IronX is bloody £120 or so. Madness.
Depends what you mean by Polish, but the Carlack will effectively replace that stage for you, unless you are going to machine polish it.
I'd definitely clay too, if you haven't in the past 6 months.
Gents - have you tried it? It's like 1000P, but it looks good still after a week :) x 1000P...
Meg is knackered mate, needs a new starter motor a week out of warranty!! Not good!
It's got 3 coats of Colli 845 on it, on top of 3 layers of Z2P. Should see it through Winter :)
At this time of year, protection really is key.
Without a doubt, the best choice in terms of price/durability/looks and ease of use is Collinite 845, which is £15. Make sure you prep the surface beforehand with a decent paint cleanser, then get a couple of coats of 845 down, and it'll see you...
I have Carbon, Titanium, Glasur and Vintage. Field Glaze is great too - not sure whats not to like apart from the price?
Their 'proper' shampoo is crap, but the stuff which Halfords sold was decent enough.
If you compare like for like with Swissvax, then the Zymol's tend to NAIL them on...
WTF has happened in this thread?
SRP is fine for new paint.
All you need to worry about is protecting your paint AND wheels from road salt over Winter.
Ideally you need to prep the paint for Wax, then apply a durable Wax. FK1000P is okay, but it's not the easiest to use, and personally I...
Yeah, was the 3M dinoc stuff I believe.
Bought some myself to have a play about with. Doesn't seem too tough to do really. Hardest part is removing the plastics from the car!
So, I've never really been happy with the silver centre section of my dash - it has always been covered in a weird coating which refused to be cleaned up fully.
My 'mate' had a go at doing it too, which resulted in this lovely black mark!!
Not good! So, it's either buy a new one...
I do actually have a few bottles of it, I may be able to sell you the half full one... let me see how much I've got!
I was doing a white Focus RS detail with Zaino on Sat, but I think I'll use the Celeste now if the owner doesn't object... so I can spare some Z8.
