£120 I think it is retail (but I didn't pay that!! ;))
Supposed to be the easiest on and off wax so far, with decent durability.
Some of the pics of seen of it on cars, make it appear superb!! I'll feedback shortly :)
'Best' shampoo = Optimum Car Shampoo

In my very humble opinion, anyway :)
It depends how bad they are really! I only ever use car shampoo on mine, which is fine.
You can get an 'all purpose cleaner' from Tesco called 'Daisy'. This used 4:1 with water is a decent, cheap alternative!
Not too sure to be honest, but the PD130 VAG engine is used in loads of cars and seems to easily run to 200k and beyond as long as it's been serviced properly. Apparently the clutches can die if you remap them (as expected!), but otherwise a solid car. The calipers (green) on this example...
The tailpipe was a bloody nightmare if I'm honest, I don't think it had EVER been cleaned!
I used a combination of Optimum Metal Polish, Megs NXT and some 00 grade Wire Wool. I spent a good 20 mins on that alone and it wasn't close to being perfect, but was a hell of a lot better!
It's an 04 plate and I don't remember the exact amount, but it was a bargain given how mint it is now!
The interior is in top condition too, which is a testament to Skoda's build quality! The alloys need a refurb too, but they're not too bad!
Thanks :)
So the aim of Saturday was to bring a bit of life back into this tired looking, 150,000 mile Skoda Fabia vRS, which my friend had recently purchased.
It was also being used as a test car for some new products in my collection.
A few befores:
So, on to the wash process, which...
I was never a fan tbh - not sure why. I know it contains some 'gloss enhancers' and a touch of wax. Megs UK admitted to me that it's developed as a cheap bulk product for 'once overs' for the American Market, bit of a wash and wax special.
Perhaps give the Optimum a try for an extra fiver...
Z2 won't bond properly to a car which has LPL on it, which over time will reduce its durability significantly.
A lot of these oilier pre wax cleansers aren't suitable to have 'system specific' sealants being used over them. The whole 'polish, seal, wax' thing is old school thinking now IMO...
Agree, BTBM and Lime Prime are amongst the best in their class. SN was good (V1), but I don't like it now. You can do much better for your money.
The new sealants will hopefully be good. Red Mist is overrated like hell too. Zaino Z8 nails it.
Is Mark Dalton related to Paul Dalton? ;) lol!!
Gurch is on DW but it's not obvious who he is! He doesn;t mouth off like some of the 'professionals' on there...
He's one of the Top 3 in the UK IMO!
1000P doesn't touch Collinite for durability, so if you want the best winter protection get Collinite 476S and slap it on top of Carlack 68NSC (CYC does a kit!)
As for correction, if you know how to wash a car, you should only need to go over it with a finishing polish 1/2 times per year after...
I thought you did yours? Whenever dude... extreme mates rates to you! :)
I've got some great cars coming up! R32 GTR, Focus RS in white, Evo 5 in white, and a sorry looking red 197!! :)
RDS removal frenzy then enhancement. It had a good 20 deeper scratches, but the paint was only 100-120 microns all over! I've definitely mastered RDS removal after that though!!
Zaino Z2 and Z8 to finish.
