Just an idea but you could use an iPhone with dynolicious in each car to see the difference. I know the result won't be accurate but if done back to back the difference could probably be calculated in percentage terms. No idea on the solution but am watching interested as my car does not seem...
I've had another go installing the OEM map (provided by Henk) and it's taken it. However it was already tuned with the standard map. I think I already have the 98 Ron map which looks to have already been installed in the past on the ECU.
I have a replacement lambda to fit. However after putting the car back in the light went off and has stayed off. I'm wondering if it actually needs it now?
Hi, I hope someone can help here. I have a 182 which I want to mostly return to a stock state of tune. It has been remapped (think by K-Tek) in the past, or at least there is an invoice in the service history for that.
I used to own a Trophy and remapped that with the RS Tuner to the 98 ron...
I was in your boat recently and bought;
Soldering iron
'Add a circuit' fuse tap
Plug in USB and cigarette light socket extension set from pound land
Some bits too make an earth
The only hard bit is finding an earth. You could probably use fuse blocks and not solder.
I would have to say use...
Thanks - I checked the loom again and sure enough the red and yellow wires have both been cut and joined to each other. Not sure why this would have happened ?
Anyway I'll get my soldering iron out tomorrow and try to fix this.
It's got Yokohama ado8r on the front (almost new) and PS3s on the back.
The wheel does not seem to have any play in the wheel bearing but there is some wear to the top arch liner. However I'm still not sure it's either of those.
Hi, I've installed a sony mex-bt3900u which I bought from eBay. It works ok but does not remember the time and resets itself every time I use the car.
Is there a battery which can be replaced or suchlike?
It's plugged into the universal plug but should I be giving it non switched power...
Hi, I've recently come back to the fold having bought a bit of a project 182. I had a Trophy which was standard and immaculate so I'm looking forward to getting my new 182 back similar shape.
I am currently running;
K-Tec Coilovers
No front wheelarch liners
Yoko ADO8R tyres
I've intending to...
It's on high performance mode. It sees the device but can't find a driver for it. I've tried deleting the driver and re-adding but nothing seems to work. It's probably a vista thing:(
Hi, I have taken delivery of a new RStuner but I can't get the RSTuner app to see the Fastchip VCI. I think it needs a driver.
I also can't update the firmware as I get a message saying 'unable to switch Fastchip VCI to firmware update mode'
My laptop is a Sony Vaio TX series running Vista...
Hi, my Trophy has broken its clip which controls the rear slide position 'memory'. I've phoned Renault and they tell me the recaro is Trophy specific and I have to replace the whole metal base.
The price for this is £900 + VAT !
I know these trendlines were optional on the 182 as well. Does...
Thanks - that's a pain but somewhat expected :( I've had a look under there and it looks like the gearbox sits directly over the cat. The cat needs to come out along with the heat shielding.
I might tackle it tomorrow or may leave it until the exhaust needs replacing.
Hi, I have a spare weekend away from the wife and son so I'm trying to fit the yanoo 'normal' kit that I bought from a member recently. I've managed to remove all the trim from the gear stick
I'm not really sure where to go next. I can remove the knob and gearbox skirt pretty easily but I'm...
Thanks for the advice everyone. Can I confirm the shims that need removing are BOTH of the ones highlighted? The reason I ask is the bottom ones which look like 'pad spacers' were not present on my setup so were obviously not fitted. The smaller ones that go on the ends of the pads are on...
I actually did that to a lesser extent already as I'm used to bedding in race pads on a bike. Good news is I went out today with my wife and son and the pads seem to be working fine. I couldn't really work them hard obviously but they performed fine from cold. A bit noisy but that's fine.
I...
Hi guys, I have a Trophy and I've recently replaced the front disks Brembo HD disks with DS2500 pads. The pads did not fit but I've filed down the ends until they fit snuggly into the carriers. I've seen someone advise the carrier should be removed but as my car is a road car not a track car...
Hi guys, first time poster here :) I've recently bought a Clio Trophy which I'm treating to a new set of disk and pads. The OE ones were very worn and the disk has not worn evenly on the inside disk face.
I have to admit it's been a long time since I've done my own disk and pad work but...
Thanks Don. I appreciate it's pretty straightforward but I don't really have time. My driveway is on a hill with gravel and after doing a oil change on the family car I just would rather pay someone to do the job. I also don't have spring compressors or suitable jacks etc..
Can I confirm other...
Hi guys, I recently bought a Clio Trophy which had failed it's MOT on a leaking Sachs damper. The previous owner had renault replace the dampers with Cup dampers and removed both front Sachs dampers for refurb. The car is therefore driving (very nicely I must say) on Trophy springs with Cup...
