a friend of mine works for renault in rotherham and also owns a renault (so he takes care of them) he's done numerous jobs on my valver and all are good quality ect
they will fit, but they will run like s**t and i'd be surprised if you could get it to idle without a remap or proper pulleys, mate of mine had trouble doing this with the pullies as well in a williams
everything fits, you dont need a 16v bonnet all you need to swap is the engine (obviously), rad exhaust and itsd advisable to swap the brakes and driveshafts easy done, not hard but far easier to just go buy one as it will handle like poo and generally will be a pain in the arse to insure
et 36 is std, you can get away with et 35-37 or if you want to widen up the back winston was running et25 on the back (normal on the front) and was down on its ass without scrubbing issues
right if you stand with the bonnet open on the passengers side and from whre you put the water in there are only 2 pipes that go off to the right and one is on top of the other, its those 2
first take off both the pipes taht go from the coolant bottle to the bulkhead and blast the hosepipe down the top one and see if any sludge/crap comes out of the other hole, if so reconnect, add the lost coolant and let it get to temperature and see if any heat comes through. If still no its new...
or if its turning but not firing and you have changed the plugs ect if the rev needle doesnt jump at all when you are turning it over it will be the crank angle sensor that has packed up, these just die without warning
and as quoted by himself, not if you want a proper job doing if something is a miss or could do with doing but isnt 100% essential i'd still rather do it. do the job right or not at all which is a very good business attitude
a mint example of a williams is about 4.5k and an high/ high average 172 is about 5k!
now tell me you point about being able to afford one and not the other?
