Just fitted some goodridge lines to the car but couldn't get the o/s rear one changed was properly seized, bit difficult when you're lying under the car as well...
Need to get it changed but don't wanna get ripped off as its probably just a case of cutting the pipe, flaring it and putting the...
No problem!
Box's can be a bit weak but tbh if you don't drive like a t**t and mash the gears they should last, if anything you'd wanna put a williams box in as thats stronger.
Hybrid valver = a valver which has had a williams engine conversion, so its got the F7R 2.0 16v lump in from a williams.
^^ Lol will show up a lot of golf GTi's (exc new ones :P) and a VTS would be no means 'leave behind a valver' would be touch and go.
As the others have said don't buy cheapo ones look for lots of service history, rusty arches are very common and expensive to fix (normally cut/weld/spray job)...
RAC but im v biased ;) btw RAC dont own NU, we're both owned by the same company (Aviva).
Id say RAC or AA, wouldn't touch the others (too many hidden costs and exclusion clauses), but then RAC would come out even in an accident/driver error. AA can and often do refuse service (heard some...
Needs to get some pads for the valver wanna spend around £40max cant find anywhere decent to get them from though? Obv don't want crap £10 pads maybe DS2000 or some kind of fast road pad?
Just ordered 2 wishbones and discs from there was dirt cheap... apparently they use either mintex/delphi lockheed or quentin something?
anyone had any experience with them?
Need some new ball joints and im not paying £91 to renault for them, seen some on ebay ECP etc but some say exc 16v/williams so are there any differences between them?
Yeah haven't had a chance to jack it up yet! im pretty sure its the passenger side was just a bit confused by the noise disappearing when going on right hand bends :S
I had both rear disks changed last year with new bearings thou :(
So if the pressure is going on the passenger wheel round a roundabout, would that act as holding the bearing together thus eliminating the noise... can't think what else it could be as the other bearings are quite new...
^^ Yeah so if the weight goes to the left of the car wouldn't that mean all the pressure is on that side hence the noise should get louder as the bearing has more pressure on it?
I've just changed the drivers side wheel bearing but im still getting the droning noise, but it goes totally when im going round roundabout or right corners but soon as I straighten up its back in full force very loud!
I thought this would mean it was the drivers side bearing as when you go...
bloody renaults :( is it easy enough to measure then? Was just thinking if the ruler or whatever is at a slight angle or something its only 2mm so could be easy to c**k it up? so say an RSI has got a high chance of being 54mm?
