    Surely certain years/engine size usually have the same spacing? I can't really check until i've got it off the car thou? bit hard to measure 2mm difference when its still all attached :(

    Getting another hub for my valver, which is 54mm spacing (akaik?) but the scrappies round me only have 1.2/1.4 etc so which ones would have the same spacing as mine so 54mm?

    Not really that difficult to do, bolt at the bottom of the column can be a bit of a b**ch, ratchet spanner would come in handy

    Before you do that try dripping some oil down it, see if that helps?

    You can't really feel if its sticky, I had one go on my car few months back, I started noticing when I changed gear as it was revving up turned out the cable was properly shafted, it snapped eventually!

    Need a new n/s shock but being asked whether I need a gas or oil one :S My shock is leaking oil but apparently it could still be either according to ECP, anyone know how I can found out?

    Just had my steering column welded

    Park up, turn the wheel if the wheels move straight away your fine if not then its shafted. Also when parked up try taping the steering wheel up and down - shouldn't move, if there is play it will be slightly loose.

    Buy a haynes manual and do it yourself!! you have a valver lol if you can't do stuff yourself you're going to be broke very quickly :p Not really that hard to do!
