Failed MOT on 'worn bottom ball joint' but the ball joint is brand new, had the car jacked up and when I pushed the wishbone up no play in the ball joint but the shock compressed about 1-2cm very easily?? No play in the other side?
Recently swapped the shocks so could I just not done the top...
You would also need the larger discs 259mm, caliper brackets, obv pads. thats about it! pretty easy conversion to do, might need to buy some new rubber seals for the slider pins on the calipers as they are often fcked but these can be had fairly cheap also.
Just taken the old 1 out, haven't put the new 1 in yet, anything I should do while the old rack is out? Cleaned the new 1 up, put cable ties round the gators and cleaned the subframe in the car, anything else worth doing?
Rear arch liner has properly rusted, dad looked at it reckoned it could be welded as its only the liner not any mounting points which have rusted! failed mot on it (and many other things)
Anyone know much I would be charged for it to be welded?
Hmm wiring is a bit crap in my car so wouldn't be suprised if it was that... should the wire from the back of the alternator run straight to the positive on the battery? Might try putting a wire straight across and see if it makes a difference...
Battery light flickering on often and sometimes stereo cuts out when too loud, checked the voltage across the battery earlier, it was 14v with no load, then 12v when I had on stereo, de-mister, hazards, rear+front fogs, full beam everything with a switch lol.
Does that sound ok or fcked?

One box I had lasted about a week after the whining, by then it wouldn't stay in 5th at all and was hard keeping it in 4th.
Another box lasted about a mile after it started popping out of 2nd, no whining just went, lost drive and oil came out :(
Yeah was totally shafted, when i spun the wheel the bearing was so fucked sounded like my pads were sticking on the disc lol
Was a bit confusing with the sound disappearing going round right bends thou :S
