Well, Waters let me thrash the demonstrator 200 they had, at about 200 miles! Ran it right round to the redline a few times. Sure he won't mind me doing the same to the megane.
^ok, I spoke to them a few weeks before you did I think. They told me yesterday they'll match the megane deal though!
I'm going to have a look at one on saturday. Lots to consider but other half seemed quite keen, which is always the main barrier to overcome.
I'd ask yourself why, mate. Are you going to track it a lot? If not, why do you want recaros, they're almost a grand? Remember, on a pcp deal you won't own the car till you pay off the gfv, of about 8.5k. Otherwise, you'll be paying more per month, or more up front, for options which make no...
If it were me, I'd spec the aircon, no other options, red paint, pay upfront and keep the payments at 199 pm. Then decide what to do with it at end of 2 years.
Options list and prices are on website. If you can pay cash they'll give you a decent discount but if on a finance deal, no chance. Lookers-matched deal is about the best around.
According to parkers it should be around 5,700 privately. I'd have it up at 6 or so though - might not get it but you never know. Wouldn't advertise on here, people seriously undervalue their cars!
ok for a px, but not what I could get privately. More important was the price for the 200.
Going back to look at the megane on saturday, if he'll do me that price for it still I might just take it.
Waters Renault at St Albans were happy to match the Lookers deal on a clio 200 cup:
£999 deposit and £199 per month over 2 years, balance/gfv of about £8,400.
But when I specced UP the 200 FF I really wanted (black, speedlines, cup chassis, recarros and cup spoiler) it came to over 18k! Not...
Have pretty much decided to bite the bullet on this and do it, subject to my local dealer agreeing options (I want to go with the 0% hp deal and use my 182 as the deposit).
Maybe someone on here will know - if you specify recaros, do you lose the option to disable the passenger airbag? I am...
Re: I dont know what to do - 197 to 200 - advise from long term 197 owners would be g
19k sounds a lot. I specced a black 200 up a couple of weeks ago (cup chassis, recaros, cornering lights, black speedlines, gt spoiler) and was about to do a deal at 18,350 with 0% 3 yrs finance. Couldn't...
^ no, they're made of cheese. Jack the car on the chassis rail near the front wheel, it will lift the rear off at the same time.
The search button will get you to a thread with pictures showing. exactly where
the m3s were being run in on the bedford trackday I (and a few others on here) did in march. Absolutely awsome things, they were 'limited' to 4,500 rpm or 118 mph, but still seemed to overtake everything that was there - they were also extremely fast in the corners! Asked one of the drivers if I...
When I specced one up the way I wanted, it came to over 18k. I almost purchased it, for all the reasons already given by others in this thread the 200 is a massive step up on the 182...
But, as others have also said already, it will depreciate so much that, for me, its just not worth it. For...
Annoying isn't it. I had this, it's been solved by:
1. Greasing the front suspension platforms
2. Greasing the top mounts
3. Greasing the suspension mount
4. Lots of grease into the front anti-roll bar bushes.
Apparently the arb bushes dry out quite a lot, so if it comes back I'm going to...
Erm no - as Budgie says, the jacking points are made of cheese and if you use a trolley jack on them they fold in on themselves. The jacking points barely cope with the standard renault jack!
There's a thread on here somewhere about where to jack the car with a trolley jack, but basically its...
