They should fix it as it would come under the corrosion warranty, as long as the surface of the paint hasn't been chipped or scratched. Corrosion warranties are only honoured if the corrosion comes from inside the panel or in your case from the metal surface of the wheel. The sharp edges on...
Cups have a VIN that starts like this VF1CB1NDF
This is a normal 172 VF1CB1NOF
This is how I checked my recent buy.
As for being cheap I think its the right price or there abouts, I paid about half of what this one is advertised for, with issues of course.
ECP and GSF sell OE quality parts and cheaper alternatives, but do tell them which one you want. As said before OE parts are the same as from the main dealers but in different boxes.
It was a challenge driving up these passes many moons ago when you had little engines had to double de-clutch but with modern cars it's all relatively easy.
It is still worth the trip as the scenery is great and take your camera, some good opportunities for a photoshoot of your car. Go over to...
I'll agree with this, 14.5secs. of fun per day does no way compare with hours of adrenalin rush on a track day.
Also the faster you make your car the less time you'll be having fun on a "Strip".
If you are renewing/fitting other suspension parts and planning a suspension/wheel alignment, have it fitted then and the settings will be spot on.
If you want to fit it now I would bolt it on whilst the car is on level ground and no extra baggage in the car. I would not be forcing the...
I had a bad power steering pipe leak. I traced the hose around the engine bay and it turns out to be the longest pipe going from the pump - along close to the radiator bottom -under the battery tray - then dives under the bulkhead and runs along the front of the rack. 4 brackets hold the pipe...
Just been buying my brake parts, shopped around and found the best prices Brembo HC discs from NW Performance £63 inc. post: Ferodo DS5200 pads and HEL braided hoses from Camskill £144 inc. post.
That's why 172 Cups handle better than 182's.
However if Mickstoke wants 205 tyres thats ok, they will fit, but at the expense of sharper handling and the speedo will not be as accurate due to difference in tyre circumference.
Fitting 205's on an RS Clio will ruin the handling designed by Renualt. In general, putting wider tyres on on rims designed for 195's makes handling floppier. On the other hand if you fit wider corresponding rims you could fit 205's. for a small inprovement in grip.
I'm thinking of these also, a package available at £250 http://www.northwestperformance.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=182&osCsid=0gemvpjuuk5rosseruj6561c27
Is it best to buy the parts seperately?
For my fronts, do you think this kit is a bargain or best bought seperatly?

The usual way to fit new pads and discs is to undo the handbrake cable or slacken off the adjuster, wind back the piston, wire brush all the dust off and use brake cleaner to clean all the brake parts. The new disc and pads should fit in then. When reassembling the parts apply a smear of copper...
