i'm just having a new gearbox. the casing on mine is shot, but the internals should be fine, just done 37k. let me know if you can use them? they will only go in the bin otherwise.
magnecor make different leads for 172's and 182's. i bought some direct and they were quite definate about it, but i think they said it was the plugs that were different?
i got your pm fella, just been a bit busy. you think your box is in a bad way, have a look at mine!http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=268524
a couple of months ago one of renaults cheese bolts had destroyed my bottom end, so after a combination of sg motorsports and ren-tech ( and an obscene bill!) i was looking forward to a day at colerne airfield.
this was also the first time i had been able to get out since i had my new coilovers...
i think you can soften the tar with solvents ben. i had a can of petrol leak on the way to a trackday, and the tar gear in the boot was soft for a few days after that. might be easier than the heat gun?
unlucky fella. thats a bit s**t! you might well find that the clutch is still fine though, i'll ask later what the mileage was when tim fitted the helix before.
the cheapest place i have found is car care in tetbury, told me they would be £4 a wheel!! the next cheapest place is ebley tyres if you catch them when they are quiet, about £30 for 4 wheels.
you can get lower, my rears have a helper spring on. and kw definately do a whole range of rates and lengths. i'm not sure if the comprtition stuff will transfer to the road stuff though?
it was the lad demo car. my flatmate bought it and completely stripped it for tracking. it had loads of stuff done to it before he sold it, but it looks like it has been mostly returned to standard.
the syncros were rebuilt as well, not sure what mileage it had on then, probably 25/30k.
unless it has been changed, your car already has a helix paddle clutch!
i'm interested to hear the box has let go, because i think it has had the syncros rebuit once already.
yozzasport deal in bilstein, so they might be able to get springs for you. powerflex do the bushes, i think they sell direct.
gdi or ast at powerstation have solid mounts, but the gdi ones are about twice the price iirc.
i've been in touch with the guy from here. devises is just down the road, they are going to start doing manifold matches and flowing for clios.
most interesting was that for about £175 ( i think) they were looking to do a package with a flowed body as well! and were willing to offer a discount...
definately stick with the f1's. the only other wheels i like on the ph1's are the ultraleggra's, and there isn't that much difference.
how about a satin finish light gray?
