Too low really ^^^
i have mine in the std dash positions, found them to sound quite good there. I may change the psoition to the front pillars in the future but i doubt i'll be arsed to!
fubar's guide is really good for taking the top dash off, dead easy! even an amatuer could do it.
very well designed, great fitment but not good performance. had them on my charged saxo, they varied. sometimes they felt good, sometimes not too good. but then i did use cheap pads!
so i guess with the right pads they would be good, but as said they are a cheap alternative to ap/brembo
Hi all, my clio is coming up for its 36k service, (currently on 33k but already had belts done etc). Its a 52 plate 172 full fat.
Ive had the Fk's on for a while now. maybe about 4500miles. Ive noticed more n more than the suspension knocks n rattles a lot! is this normal?
on normal smooth...
greenalex90 - got it in one. back seat job now! the tesco shopping idea was for the previous setup! wasnt gettin on with it so well!
tonksy 26 - i will get myself a can of tyre weld and hold it in place behind the install. plenty of room.
My car is too low to be jacked up anyway so even if i...
no didnt weigh it, did think about it but just never bothered.
Bear in mind that ive removed the spare wheel and tool kit as i cant access them with this lot in place. so im probably only a few Kg's over normal weight.
But as i say, its not all about driving quickly for me anymore. this car...
lol, yeah not the usual clio sport trend but im not one for driving quickly these days, with fule prices as they are! so more of a chilled out theme with the car!
NEW INSTALL
Hi all, some may remember a little thread i made before about a stealthy install i made in my clio. Basically i still used the boot and kept everything hidden. Looked good and i was ok with it for a short while.
The idea of having that setup was to still allow me to put the...

laura i have this same problem right now. can see a little trickle coming through on the passenger foot well, bottom of the door, about 4 inches or so back from the front. has madea nice puddle for me!
i think mine is a door sill. will get a new one soon. may call renualt in a bit :)
to be honest connecting it to the amp isnt the best place to put it. yeah it may work but its not ideal.
fitting the switch is easy. just have to put it inline on the power cable. should be fused seperate to the amp too.
i dont think alonso is the best driver, not by far, far too hot headed for me!
struts like he knows he's the best! bad attitude. all imo of course!
that doesnt mean i think hamilton is the best! i think the likes of the old school, trulli is a great driver!!! one of my favs!
make sure the neon is a 12v first, chances are it will be.
as above use the boot light as a feed. you dont have to get rid of that though, you can just junction off it. quite simple to do :)
if you in any doubt then seek professional advice, but as a quick test you can always hook up a 12v...
I have my cable fed to under the little 'ash tray' which removes with a simple little pull. under there ive fed the cable to my USB. i dont need to touch that unless i wanna update it. little different from the ipod. but just a suggestion :)
Here's my issue:
I currently have a Pioneer 6000UB with two preouts, sub and front channels
I run a single set of RCA's to a graphic EQ (Eq allows one set of RCA's in & one out) then I run a split pair of RCA's to two amps, one amp controls my Comps, the other my Sub.
In a previous thread I...
clutch failure after 3 weeks is unacceptable, id give the car back and want a full refund.
id look eslewhere for a car if i were you. wouldnt want a car back thats had that kind od porblem within that space of time.
seats wearing is a common problem but still unacceptable...
tell them...
THIS INSTALL IS UP FOR SALE...
i have decided to go in a different route with the boot install...i will be keeping the pioneer 2channel amp and the rainbow comps...and the EQ
so up for grabs is the build itself. literally weeks old!
the hertz 8"sub
the Pioneer mono block amp.
All youd need...
i know how you feel mate, take a look at the first page you'l see my previous project supercharged saxo :) that was roasting in there! drove it to the ring n back too, no stereo either!
carbon all the way!
Hi all, will soon be time to replace the tyes on the clio. i currently run the Toyo proxy t1r's. goo dtyre fairly happy with them.
Everyone seems to be going for the parada's - which are nice but i feel like trying something different?
do the pirelli P6000 or similar Pirelli seem ok, cant...
yeah i knew id encoutner all the weight questions sooner or later...
To be honest on my daily drive it doesnt feel much different. cruising is the same. i dont need to thrash the car, and i dont 90% of the time. the roads thes days dont allow it!
and i dont use the car on track either...so...
power you can get a distributor for, earth is just a second earth point. or the same as the other one.
remote you can take from the first amp.
rca's you can get splitter than divide them to allow to set of leads :) sorted ;)
Car passed its MOT today, flying colours! not one advisory, so im chuffed, was with a reualt dealer too so expected them to find something!
A view from the rear of the install if your interested. this is the all new wiring setup. just need to get my wiring tidy clips and ties onto it as a...
do you have seperate amps for the sub n comps?
where are you earths?
what equipment is it your using?
what HU?
what car?
by crackling, what do you mean?
remove the panel above the stereo with the hazrad light, locks and screen heater. it just prises off, that should give yo a little bit of leway with the wiring. unclip the plugs n you should be able to sort it. may have to get your hand in there to move wires around ;)
