    Warrenty and impreza weight Q’s

Some third party warranty companies cover MOT failure and are cheaper than manufactures extended warranties. Warranty Direct covers some wear & tear. There are a few other good ones too.

    Selling my v6

£15k tops for a mint one? When selling rare cars like this, its worth remembering that you might need to advertise for quite a while to find the right buyer - but when you do, itll all happen very quickly! I usually find the autotrader website never fails.

    Selling my v6

I would definitely sell your mk1 privately if you get rid of it. Personally Id wait until the end of summer for the prices of the mk2 to drop to their lowest (before the end of production) and then get one. Prices might level out after they stop making the mk2, but Id imagine the mk1 prices...

    Big spin in V6 clio

No thats fine, you carry on....;)

    V6 engine cover

I gave it a go, and it sounded like a bus - loud and not as impressive as youd hope, but like you say, the whuurs and clunks sound pretty cool! For proper V6 noises, get an ITG/BMC/PiperX induction kit and a sports exhaust... ...or throttle bodies! ;)

who’s changed fro ctr to 182

Nope, but I drove both and the 182 is a more natural drive. Do you drive many miles?

    Big spin in V6 clio

Read the Evo article last night, and the impression they give is that all the issues with the mk1 have been sorted to create a drivers dream with the mk2. Obviously the mk2 is a big improvement, but its never going to be anything less than a handful. What type of places can do a proper 4 wheel...

    Another CUP bites the dust!

Thats very honest Wezzie - how refreshing! I was having this conversation with a friend at the weekend and we both decided if wed had 182/V6 a couple of years ago wed probably be dead or have a record number of points, its all about experience and age.

    v6 - everyday car

I use mine semi-everyday (and thats not due to impracticality) and its a very easy car to live with. Ive got a mk1 so it likes to brake down now and then....but you shouldnt find that with the mk2. You can fit the weekly shopping in (most of it on the parcel shelf, or under the bonnet), go...

    Video Camera Holder

A while ago there was a post about a Video camera mount for the Clio. It clamped onto the headrest uprights and allowed the camera to be take the view between the driver and passenger. Anyone know who supplies these at a decent price? Thanks.

I don’t like heavily modified cars but..

Hate the cheese-grater front grill, doesnt look good on anything imo. The rest isnt too nasty (apart from the stickers).

    The lost art of overtaking!

But lowering the speed limit generally helps congested roads run more freely. At the moment in the rush hour, people go as quick as they can, and then slam on their brakes, this causes the person on their rear bumper to do the same and it dominos all the way back.... If everyone drives at...

Attracting the wrong kind of attention

There have been quite a few threads like this, and people always say the same thing....valvers/182s etc seem to attract the street racing types (whether their owners like it or not!) and the V6s just get 99% positive attention. Ive had mine for about 5 months, and in that time Ive only had a...
