Indeed, but the Megane is supposed to be the least boring of a bad bunch... I'd never have an A3/Golf/Octavia. The Leon FR is okay at a push, but even that is a bit dodgy and dull.
I've had my 197 now for little over 6 months, and I've put 13k on the clock... at an average of about 28MPG. That's a lot of money spent on petrol.
Now, logic would dictate that I should be chopping said car in for a Diesel, but I can't get over the fact that my car is so much fun to drive...
I spent a few hours a couple of weeks ago cleaning up a friends' brothers' Civic Type-R as a favour for a birthday gift.
I was only giving the exterior some love, which was mostly in decent condition, having had the alloys recently refurb'd and the paint was in fair condition for its age and...
Nope, you are right.
Used properly, it serves its purpose. It is very aggressive though, so should be used with caution.
I'd recommend paying a detailer to sort it for you instead.
Well, Pete's 53 isn't massively durable on its own, so a good solid base like CG Blitz is a good move at this time of year, or switch the Pete's for something more durable like one of the Collinite's, or Megs #16.
As you will discover, 90% of the 'looks' will come from polishing process - the...
Give it a good comb when you get it - some people have found bit of wire in theirs!
I had one, used it, wasn't impressed so it went.
It's okay, but not worth £20. Feels like a gimmick.
Hi Mike,
What are you using the Snow Foam with?
EGP is good, but I'd personally switch it out for some Colli 845, which is quicker to apply, will bead better, and will last a little bit longer.
Otherwise, that looks good to me.
Russ.
The night before, one of his 'friends' in an MG ZR 1.4 took a roundabout a little outside of his limit and nearly rammed me off the road.
Happy times in Cannock!
I've gone with my insurer so far - they have waived my excess, have let me choose a bodyshop, and I am getting a Group F car of similar size and engine size... so it shouldn't be tooooo bad :)
Thanks Warren - can you recommend a specific one please? How do they work?
The Hankook's are superb - people seem to snub them because they are 'cheap' but they are easily as good as the Conti's in the dry and better in the wet, and will probably last longer too!
Yeah, the door has a massive crease in it which you can't see in the pics and the wing mirror is battered.
The stickers alone cost over £100 which is also scratched to hell. Gotta be £2k's worth!
Swirls.. indeed... gotta love soft as cheese black cars :)
LOL, what's surprised me more is how badly hologramm'd the bottom looks from me wiping it over - bloody soft paint lol
I just hope it gets sorted quickly :(
I went to my friend's house tonight, parked outside their house in the street. 5 minutes later I hear an almighty bang and a car alarm going off... it sounded like mine.
As I dashed to the window I saw a light blue Ka which has been reversed into my car from the driveway opposite. He then...
Depends on the experience levels though... the problem with someone who has just bought a G220, removed a swirl and then starts charging for their professional service, is that they normally have no clue of how much paint they are removing.
As said before, you only have so much clear, so get...
You got to love people that want it for next to nothing
