I think I'm just gona keep it looking like it is for now. The CF bonnet will be going on soon I'm still looking for a fibre glass boot and I'll be buying a full set of plastic windows for the car too. After I've used all the life out if the slicks then I'll get the wheels powder coated but that...
Re: No Compromise ph1 ITB build (Fastcar, BTM, TDF, RS Fab) - ITB update p77
Good work, I really like the windows. Can't wait to buy mine and gutt my doors.
So when do you thing it'll be ready to drive, I was aiming for the Combe action day but don't think that's gona happen :(
I was either going to get a DC2, 200sx or a 182 and I went for the Clio in the end. At times a do wish I'd bought one of the other cars. I like the JDM front end over the uk spec one.
I'm taking about the plate that is on the right hand side of the engine the one where the coolant pipes go on too. Should I just get a new gasket or can I use the old one and use the sealer on it?
I just have three questions about sealing the water jacket on the side of my F4R.
Does the order go the engine first then the gasket then the sealant then the metal jacket?
Is it ok to use loctite superflex black silicon sealer (5940) as the sealer.
How much do I need to put on? A pea...
Right so some of you may know I had some electrical problems with my car and have been rebuilding bits and bobsover the winter. In a few weeks the car will be ready to see if it starts.
As it hasn't been run in such a longtime I just wanted to know if there are anythings i should do to the...
Haha my old man has a DB7 GT and we pulled fuse 22 out a little while ago.....EPIC exhaust note.
Fuse 22 makes the silencer bypass valve open all the time instead of at 4000rpm so they sound quality.
Anyway iceman get on with the build! ;)
That sound like a sensiable plan. Things like building race cars is its 90% prep in deciding what to have and spec and then 10% putting it all together.
Have you pulled the magic Number 22 fuse out of your aston?
By the time i got to the end of the manifold with wrapping it its actually ok/enough room for me to keep the sensor there, so i will leave it plugged into the manifold.
Thanks for the info lads :)
Franx I'm not sure you understand what I am saying! I only run 1 lambda sensor with my itb & OMEX set up. The sensor is currently in the manifold and I wanted to know if having it further back in the exhaust made a difference? :)
Right so as i have ITB's and run an Omex ecu i only run one Lambda sensor.
What i want to know is can my lambda sensor be put in the decat pipe instead or the manifold?
This will mean it makes it tonnes easier to heat wrap my Manifold which is what i'm doing in my living room right now :)...
I just think it's all about what you are wanting to get from the car. I've only spent what I have on my car because I love making the changes and after driving it I feel the difference of every mod. Doing the work on the car myself is just as rewarding as having a better handling/faster car :)
