Using sandpaper on glass goes against my instincts too, but I've read enough successful threads to know it's ok. Just follow the guide and you'll be fine. A rotary / drill attachment would be easier but old fashioned elbow grease would do the same job, it would just take longer.
I'd be interested in more details too. I run with a #11 808 camera on the dash but always thought it would be cool to mount a camera properly and discreetly in a car!
I'm off to search the forums for past threads on this... :)
Well I certainly wouldn't be happy to refit a 2-year-old cambelt once it's been removed. I've read many times removal and refitting can weaken a belt. I think you should get it done properly really, otherwise it may come back to haunt you. :(

You must not allow a front fog lamp to be lit "at any time other than in conditions of seriously reduced visibility". (And no, normal darkness doesn't count) :)...
You should really forgot all about the mileage and concentrate on condition! Low milers will not be more reliable! I'd rather buy a high miler vehicle that's done lots of motorway miles rather than a low miler that's just been driven around town, doing lots of stop starts and short journeys...
I'm a bit like this too. I didn't go to CSS Saturday (I didn't even get my 172 until Sunday :D), but if I did, I'd have probably kept myself to myself too, socialising and mingling isn't easy for a lot of people. It's a shame to see so many negative comments directed at those who were less...
Check all fluids if you haven't checked them in ages, not just oil. Coolant, PAS fluid, brake fluid, screenwash, and remember to take your breakdown card with you.
I bought a 172, 3 days ago, for £1,400!
It came with 3 days left on the MoT, which means the old one expired today. I expected to have to shell out a few hundred more to get it through, but I took it in today and it passed! :o
It's had the cambelt done at 79k (it has 96k now) in June...
s**tting hell, that'll be the one I went to see, I started a thread about it here - another member had gone to look at it and thought it was rough and warned me off. I went to see it anyway and it was rough...
A trader on your other thread said the main dealer might find other things wrong to bump the price up IIRC. It's just got me thinking...
They're probably genuine if they've invited you down for a look though, I suppose. How much extra is all this costing you?
You're really unlucky chap! Once you get all this work done there shouldn't be much more to go wrong, apart from the gearbox, and the UCH, and the... ok, I'll shut up. :)
Part of owning a Renault unfortunately, but you've been unluckier than most. :(
You quoted the word with a correction. Because you're a sad sack. There's no other reason to put an apostrophe before and after a word unless you were quoting it.
Perhaps you won't mind if I correct you whenever you make an insignificant mistake? You posted this earlier this morning:
I think...
If your (deliberate misuse) going to waste your time being pedantic, at least get it right. Try using quotation marks instead of apostrophe's when you are quoting something next time.
Sad sack.
Like I said, you asked how you could get a card without being in the trade. I was merely telling you how people do it by offering a hypothetical example to aid my explanation. I didn't say you should do it. If you don't want to do it, don't do it. If you don't want to hear the answer to a...
The same way I got my Makro card, I guess...
Going in there with blue overalls, oily hands, and the explanation you don't have any formal qualifications to show them because you come from a family of mechanics ought to do it. A fake business card would be a good convincer and very inexpensive.
