My cam belt has just been replaced at GDI. Now the timing is c0ck on [on 60k miles now] there seems a very healthy increase in acceleration:D
It was fast enough before, but since aux/cambelt/service and the Silkolene ProS oil change it seems like a different car!
......reg plate is the same...
^^ from memory, sounds about right.
Bear in mind you get almost 5 times more for your money than the 5.99 for your standard bottle. For twice the price....good deal imo,
I'll call you when I've dropped in to check it out. Might not make it tonight though lol:rasp:
If you want to try anything out Adam, I'll whizz you some over:approve:
Still got to get hold of some JEFFS AJT. The EGP was a b4stard to buff off:mad:
Our local auto factors stock the 5ltr cans of bulk autoglym stuff. Same product as the smaller retail bottles but they're named differently.
I'll see how much they work out at Adam. You need it in a rush? I might be over over your way on Sunday sometime.
Sold within an hour of going on the web MrBillyUK!!:approve:
They got quoted £2k for a full respray. I did it as a favour but Paul insisted on re-stocking my shelf from CleanYourCar.co.uk:cool:
Or get some Megs Last Touch from somewhere like Cleanyourcar.co.uk
Its about £18 for 4 litres or something, dilute it down 50:50 and put it in yr old Quik Clay spray bottle and youve got a quality clay lube, or straight [or diluted 70:30] as a quick detailer.
That way you'd get about 13...
The way to prevent yr car from fading is to make sure its got a good layer [or few layers;)] of decent sealant or wax.
Keep topping it up every couple of months = no problems.:D
I dont think the modern paint jobs suffer like the older systems.
For those of you who like reflections in that once matt pink bonnet....
......and roof:)
...that once oddly contrasting drivers side door....
and some more finished shots
Paul swiftly uploaded the pics from my camera onto his laptop and completed the AutoTrader web-based ad at...
After volunteering to help I was assigned the task of trying to get my sister-in-laws heavily oxidised, [and I mean HEAVY] P-Reg VW Polo back into some sort of credible condition. The idea was to try and make it look decent enough to advertise and sell quickly, as she'd just bought a new car...
Not on a 'P' Reg I dont think. Am I right in thinking that its not got a clearcoat? Hence the bad discolouration.
Nowadays Adam, yes, VAG paint on the missus' red car [2004] was a bast4rd to correct!
Yup:approve:
Only a tickle on the Clio though;)
I'm doing a red VW Polo where the paintworks gone pink for someone, and they want to sell it as soon as its had a bit of attention, I dont want to hose the engine down and then not be able to start it!!!
