Hi,
I ordered a stereo blanking plate for my 172 but the one that they sent me is the wrong one, the part number on the one i've got is 8200069063 can anyone check this for me and if it's the wrong part number find out what part number i actually need for my car.
Cheers

Absolute tosh, I won't argue about my experience above as only I was there to know how fast i was actually driving. There are so many other situations you could find yourself forced into where ESP would help you out.
I was driving down a autobahn late july when i saw a flatbed lorry on the...
I have to disagree here completely.
I can honestly say i think the esp in my old 182 saved me and the car from a very nasty accident a couple of years ago. I was following a vectra on my daily commute, the road was very quiet just me and the vectra, neither of us were driving too fast for the...
Re: PB and perhaps fastest lap of the Nurburgring in a Clio 2 RS on youtube - 8:38 BT
Very impressive lap, watching all these videos really makes me want to get out there, this year i've not done a single lap in the Clio although i have done a few in a cooper s.
This was a video i took one...
I had this problem the other day, Pull the dash forwards and give the area above the airbag a sharp thud keeping pressure on pulling the dash out, should release it enough to pass the clips that are holding it.
I keep thinking about changing my 2118's for something a bit lighter, my 172 is used on track and at the ring so it's nice having the reassurance of the strength of the 2118's.
Am i worrying too much? how do lightweight 15's stand up to track/ring abuse in the real world?
I had one for a year or so on my corrado about 10 years ago now, I had it primarily as it brought the wheel an inch closer to me and was a bit of a novelty. Also use to take the wheel to work with me as a bit of a anti theft device as i use to leave the car in a dodgy area all day.
Is it worth...
I had a rabbit do the same corner both on my 172 cup and trophy, the splitter was about £158 i seem to remember and the arch liner is £38+vat.
If the rabbits had of still been alive i'd of reversed over the f**kers
I've got bilsteins b14 on mine now and yes it does look better for being a little lower but driving it on the road i much prefer the standard setup, and the B14's are meant to be a good coilover for road use!!
When i got my 55k 172 cup i changed all the springs and dampers for new genuine parts along with all the bushes, the difference was just unbelievable, The items i replaced didn't show any signs of damage but the car just didn't feel that stable at higher cornering speeds.
I have no experience...
Well it's certainly not mine, mine's on 77k now and as it's my track toy it's seen better days, although mechanically it's tip top still.
If i had loads of spare cash and more space i'd like to find a nice low mileage cup and trophy just to take out now and then..
Also going to be removing mine over the next week or so, is there a guide to removing the lower half? I can find plenty of how too's for the top but can't really find much on the lower half??
This is a valid point as i don't think a trophy would be any faster necessarily down a back road than the other clios, for me I love the way the trophy drives compared to other clios on the road, so much more control and feedback and precision. This is of course just my opinion.

yes i'm afraid so, front struts and hubs. The rears are also trophy specific as well as the springs, both the dampers and springs will be a direct replacement though.
I'm not too sure on the price and availability these days but a few years ago i recall the front dampers being in the region of...
In my opinion you won't get anywhere near the capabilities of a trophy without spending more than what a set of sachs suspensions will set you back secondhand.
I've driven a fair few cars on a lot of different suspension setups and for me nothing has come close to the trophies ability to rocket...
Renault? I don't know what the price of these are but i replaced one on my megane r26 and that cost me £119 from renault which i think is a pretty good price for a new genuine wheel, the curbed one will get some money back on here or eBay too. Might be worth a call.
I hadn't realised it was Custom Cage's cage, a friend of mine has one in his clio, but it's slightly different to yours, the fit of those cages is excellent, would really like to change my SD cage for one or these when i find some space and time to install one.
